MMWD Habitat Restoration: Lake Lagunitas

On Saturday,

October 19th, come restore oak woodland and native grassland habitat

by removing encroaching Douglas-fir trees. Our shrinking pocket meadows are

home to sun-loving plants and animals and are hunting grounds for birds of

prey.  Halt the advancement of the

fast-growing, shade-producing conifers. Meet at Lake Lagunitas parking lot at 9AM.

Age 8 or up

can volunteer at habitat restoration events.

Volunteers under the age of 16 must have a parent present at the event.

For all events, please wear close-toed shoes and

provide breakfast snacks, water, tools and inspiration.
