Doctors Offer Information For Heart Health

Marin General Hospital will host a free community forum to present the latest cardiac technologies, treatments, clinical outcomes and emergency care available for Marin residents.

Cardiologist David Sperling, MD, the Medical Director for the Haynes Cardiovascular Institute, will moderate  a panel discussion featuring interventional cardiologist Brian Strunk, MD, Chief of Cardiology at Marin General Hospital and Sujoya Dey, MD, Medical Director of Electrophysiology and cardiac electrophysiologist. They will discuss management and outcome data for patients presenting with acute coronary syndromes and rhythm disorders. Included will be comments on treatment strategies and advanced technologies offered by MGH physicians for patients presenting with heart attacks and atrial fibrillation.  Coronary angioplasty and stenting, catheter ablation techniques, and cardiac surgery results will be included.
They’ll present the latest approaches, equipment and outcome data for heart attacks, chest pain, angioplasty, atrial fibrillation, palpitations, arrhythmia and heart surgery.Additional panel participants include Jim Dietz, MD, Medical Director of the hospital’s Emergency Department and William Teufel, MD, Medical Director of Marin County’s Emergency Medical Services.
