What Was the Most Expensive Marin Home Sold in 2012?

At $11.5 million, a 7,000-square-foot estate in Kent Woodlands garnered the largest price tag in 2012. An adjacent home, owned by San Francisco Giants pitcher Barry Zito, has been on the market since June 2012.

The most expensive home in Marin sold in 2012 was a six-bedroom, eight-bathroom, 7,000-square-foot mansion in Kent Woodlands, and its next-door neighbor – San Francisco Giants pitcher Barry Zito – hopes to notch the same achievement in 2013.

Originally listed for $12.9 million, the Goodhill Rd. home sold for $11.5 million in May 2012, with Decker Bullock Sotheby's International Realty representing both the buyer and seller in the deal. It was originally listed at $12.9 million.

Zito, who owns the adjacent four-bedroom, six-bathroom home, put it on the market in June 2012 for $11.5 million. Overlooking Phoenix Lake with a view of Mount Tam, the 7,100-square-foot house now has an asking price of $10,495,000.
