Support Local Economy -- 'Tis the Season for the FairBuck!

The 2012 FairBuck is a great way to support community projects and our local economy. Buy them at the Sustainable Fairfax Craft Faire.

The FairBuck project was started to support a vibrant local economy and to raise awareness of the importance of supporting local businesses. This year, the FairBuck project moved into an exciting new phase. The token has been so successful, that we've been able to start awarding small grants for community projects. So far, we have helped fund the Streets for People event, the Fairfax Bicycle Mosaic, and the purchase of new supplies for the Fairfax-San Ansemlo Children's Center.

You can support local economy and give back to your community by purchasing Fairbucks, using them in spending every day, and by taking advantage of special deals on FairBuck Fridays.

Is anybody else here getting multiple e-mail notifications of new comments by Jo Tog, and thenRead More clicking the link, only to find that they are actually old comments from Jo Tog, but with today's date on them? What's the deal? Did all his comments get flagged and deleted, and now he's re-posting them? Most curious.

Jo Trog, we live in a Corporatocracy, not a republic. We abdicated the Republic after 9/11, if notRead More before. Know the difference.

Banning the sale in a free market economy is too strong. I believe people should be able to chooseRead More so long as the product is labeled correctly, and even placed in a section with a big sign that says "GM Food products". Would I buy it if I pass the section at the grocery store: NO.
