Kate Pepper and Kaitlyn Gallagher Read at the MINE

Last Sunday of every month MINE hosts a reading. One Poet, one Prose writer. 

Sunday, August 25, 3pm, Kate Pepper will be reading from selected works and Kaitlyn Gallagher will be reading from her modern gothic novel 181.

 Kate Pepper is a freelance designer and award-winning watercolor painter living in Fairfax. Her poems have twice been nominated for a Pushcart and have appeared or forthcoming Poet Lore, Spillway, The Sow's Ear Poetry Review, Quiddity, The Christian Science Monitor, RATTLE and others.

 Kaitlyn Gallagher will be reading from her modern Gothic novel, 181, which she has serialized and is reading in monthly installments. Each reading of 181 will feature a summary of the previous events in the novel. Gallagher was raised on Richardson Bay in Sausalito, California, attended Tamalpais High School and both San Francisco State University and College of Marin before finishing her Bachelor's  and Master’s Degree in Writing and Literature at Naropa University in Boulder, Colorado. In 1996, her first collection of short stories Point Me in the Right Direction was published, and went into three printings. Her poetry, stories and essays have been published in small press publications since 1994.
