Drake Grad Becomes 2nd Lt in Air Force & is getting married!
Raul and Pamela Atkinson of San Anselmo, and Colonel Thad and Chris Hunkins of Washington, DC and (currently) Cairo, Egypt, are delighted to announce the engagement of their children Madeline "Maddie" Atkinson to Mark Gerald Hunkins.
They will be married on June 14, 2014 in Tiburon, CA, with a reception to follow in Mill Valley.
The couple met as cadets while attending school at the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, CO. Maddie attended Sir Francis Drake High School, San Anselmo, CA where she graduated with Honors. At the Air Force Academy, she graduated #24 in her class of 996 students as a Magna Cum Laude (A Distinguished Graduate) as a Space Operations Major. Mark Hunkins graduated with a Political Science Major and minor in German.

After their honeymoon in Belize and travelling in Europe, they will report to their first assignment in Del Rio, TX at Laughlin Air Force Base for pilot training as Second Lieutenants.
