Happy Birthday to Us!
San Anselmo-Fairfax Patch is one year old today. Some of you (though not all of you) may remember some of the stories we covered that first day: like and and .
A lot has changed, though, since I sat in one year ago and listened to the engineers countdown to our site officially going live. We've added blogs (if you want to blog email firstname.lastname@example.org) to the site, new event features for you to add your own events here (please, no commercial advertisements), and a Q&A section for you to get all your local questions answered.
But, some things haven't changed. We still want you to be an important part of the site -- it's your site -- and we still want to cover all the issues that the community finds important. So, always feel free to reach out with tips or feedback and don't forget to leave comments on stories so the whole community can participate in the conversation.
San Anselmo-Fairfax was about the 97th Patch site in the country. Now, there are nearly 840 sites. Here in Marin, we're joined by San Rafael and Mill Valley -- both about four weeks older than us -- and our younger siblings, Larkspur-Corte Madera and Novato.
Though we're a year old today, we're still very young and we still have a lot of growing to do. Let us know how you think we're doing and what else we can do better.
And, happy birthday to you too!
