We have lost truly local, immediate news sources

Re: transparency and access to info on local emergencies and services. Please post here if you know how to access Marin County and/or Marin cities' police scanner stations (or other methods fir doing so, other than calling police stations) Other counties have scanner access, ours does not (?!!) A recent vehicle accident, resulting in a long power outage, left our neighborhood helpless in understanding why PG&E took  12+ hours to restore our power. Not to mention there was no mention of this situation in any of the Marin news media
