The Fairfax police log for Oct. 18-21 includes an injured deer and a physical fight.
Sunday, Oct. 21
Fire pit: 9:03 p.m. Dominga Avenue. Visible fire and smoke from a fire pit next door. RP said last time fire responded they asked to be notified when neighbors are using the fire pit.

Disturbance: 9:50 p.m. Sherwood Oaks Apartments on Bolinas Road. Report of a driver “laying on horn” and causing a disturbance. An officer responded and the responsible party was admonished, as well as warned for an expired drivers license.

Saturday, Oct. 20
Fight: 1:50 a.m. 19 Broadway on Broadway. A call of a physical fight in front of the bar. The participants were gone when the officers arrived.
Town code violation: 4:33 a.m. Good Earth on Center Blvd. RP reported two delivery trucks by the loading dock at the business prior to 5 a.m.
Suspicious person: 9:28 a.m. Fairfax Theatre on Broadway. Elderly female hitch hiker asked the RP for a ride. RP declined and the subject hit the RP’s side mirror.
Assist: 9:30 a.m. 19 Broadway. Two subjects assaulted the RP [reporting person] last night behind the premises.
Suspicious circumstances: 2:47 p.m. Salami Factory Art Studio on Sir Francis Drake Blvd. Two men in pink shirts making holes in the street.
Friday, Oct. 19
Vehicle accident: 2:15 p.m. Cascade Drive. Vehicle crashed, unknown if injuries.
Vehicle accident: 3:15 p.m. Pavilion on Bolinas Road. Vehicle stuck on a rock.
Suspicious circumstances: 9:16 p.m. Rally Court. Unknown if animal or a person up there. It sounded heavy – with a lot of moving about. Officers checked and found nobody else in the house. Noise probably caused by an animal.
Thursday Oct. 18
Deer: 10:37 a.m. Mitchell Drive and Sir Francis Drake Blvd. Deer that appears to have been hit by a vehicle is in the ditch behind the Canon Village sign.
Welfare check: 2:52 p.m. Fairfax Library on Sir Francis Drake Blvd. Welfare check. Man mumbling to himself, storing personal items near the library shed.
Hit-and-Run: 4:12 p.m. Fairfax Lumber and Hardware on Broadway. Subject backed into the RP’s vehicle then left.
