A Quiet Week Here in San Anselmo, May 7-9

A few fender-benders, a couple neighborhood shouting matches, a particularly aggravating dog, and is that a Smart car in my parking space?

VEHICLE COMPLAINT
At 7:42 a.m., a vehicle complained took place on Grove Hill Av North when a citizen reported a U-Haul completely blocking the roadway on Grove Hill Av North at Sequoia, and she cannot get through to drive her kids to school. The responsible party was located; the vehicle was moved and a citation issued.

WIRES DOWN
At 8:49 a.m., a caller advised a huge, tall truck was knocking leaves and wires down on Butterfield Rd. The vehicle was last seen passing Upper Brookside. The line was located down and Comcast was advised

DISTURBING THE PEACE
At 4:47 p.m.,  a citizen reported a leaf blower in use at on Stone Ct.  Contact made with the operator, who was advised of the municipal ordinance and sent on his way.

VEHICLE COLLISION - NO INJURY
At 4:56 p.m.,  a caller reported that while at the stop light on Sir Francis Drake Blvd. an unknown type truck struck her from behind, causing damage to her rear bumper. Contact made and advice was given. RP may respond at a later time to file a report.

BARKING DOG
9:32 p.m., Anonymous resident on Kensington Rd. reported a dog barking for the last hour. The dog was located, barking. Contact made with a neighbor. Determined the owners are away for the week and one of the dogs got loose into another yard. The area was checked, but unable to locate the missing dog. The remaining dog quieted down and the neighbor will attempt to notify the owner of the missing one.

BARKING DOG
9:37 p.m.,  a caller reported a barking dog, possibly above her on Oak. The area was checked and was quiet on arrival. Possibly the same dog as on Kensington.

ANIMAL COMPLAINT
9:50 p.m.,  caller reported a dead deer on the side of the road on Sequoia. Communications Center was advised and will notify Humane. The deer was located out of the roadway, not creating a hazard.

VEHICLE COLLISION - NO INJURY
At 11:26 a.m., a vehicle collision occurred on Greenfield Av. Caller reported a van struck a light pole and is in the middle of the roadway. Medics responded for airbag deployment. The vehicle was towed by AAA. The driver refused medical. His wife responded to the scene and provided transportation. DPW also responded for repair of the light pole and clearing debris from the roadway.

MUNI CODE VIOLATION
At 3:22 p.m., on Ross Ave on Sir Francis Drake Bl/Bolinas Av, a citizen reported political signs in the center median that needed to be removed. The officer removed two signs on SFD between Ross and Bolinas. Four more signs were removed from SFD at Bolinas.  

ADVICE GIVEN
At 4:26 p.m., on San Anselmo Av., a caller requested advice regarding a neighbor who continually yells at her. All parties were contacted and advice given. Disposition: Public Service Provided.

DISTURBING THE PEACE
At 4:46 p.m, a disturbing the peace incident Occurred on Tunstead Av. Caller reported his neighbors said he yelled at them about something, but he was on the phone and not yelling at them. Reporting Party is angry the neighbors called the police on him, and he wanted the incident documented. Incident documented and number provided.

VEHICLE COLLISION - NO INJURY
At 5:46 p.m., another vehicle collision occurred on Greenfield Av. Caller reported a woman opened her car door when she was driving by and she ran into it. Contact made with both drivers. Disposition: Report Taken.

SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES
At 9:30 p.m.,  suspicious circumstances occurred at A caller reported the rear window on her vehicle was shattered while driving westbound on Sir Francis Drake Bl/Broadmoor Av. near the high school at approx. 2115 hrs. Area checked, police were unable to locate  anyone or anything that could be responsible. Contact was made and a log entry number was provided to the reporting party.

PARKING VIOLATION
At 3:51 p.m., someone reported a small vehicle backed into a parallel space on San Anselmo Bl. Officer checked the area and was unable to locate the vehicle. Disposition: Gone On Arrival.

PARKING VIOLATION
At 4:55 p.m., someone reported a vehicle was parked completely blocking the driveway on Mariposa Ave. Officer responded, located the owner and the vehicle was moved.

ANY CIVIL PROBLEM
AT 6:42 p.m., an Officer at San Anselmo Police Department on San Anselmo Av.  provided advice to a citizen regarding a tenant in his building.
