A Skater With a Paintball Gun, Juveniles Urinating on a Business Door and More

The San Anselmo police log for May 31-June 3 includes one residential burglary, one arrest for public intoxication and a cyclist vs. pedestrian accident.

 

 

Sunday, June 3

Loud music: 12:40 a.m. Indian Rock Road. Caller reported loud music in the area. Officers responded and contacted the responsible individual, who was advised of the complaint.

Suspicious person: 8:03 a.m. Officer initiated activity on Roble Court. Officers contacted three subjects who were warned about camping in the area. They were moved along.

False neighborly accusations: 2:58 p.m. Greenfield Court. Caller reported an altercation where her neighbor was falsely accusing her of things. Officers responded and both subjects were contacted and the matter was resolved.

Lost vehicle and keys: 6:37 p.m. Magnolia Avenue. Caller reported she lost her vehicle and house keys. She requested it only be documented at this time.

Dogs activated alarm: 6:41 p.m. Redwood Road. Officers responded and located two dogs that activated an alarm. The house was cleared and found in order.

Arrest for public intoxication: 6:50 p.m. Sir Francis Drake Blvd. Anonymous caller saw a male subject who was drinking alcohol. He was intoxicated and urinated in public a few times. Officers responded and arrested a man for public intoxication and violation of probation. He was booked into Marin County Jail.

Suspicious person: 10:30 p.m. Sir Francis Drake Blvd./Redhill Avenue. Caller reported a man who seemed disoriented was walking in traffic. Officers checked the area with negative results.

 

Saturday, June 2 

Vehicle collision: 12:28 a.m. Sir Francis Drake Blvd./Saunders Avenue. Reporting person said his daughter called him and stated she was involved in a collision and that the other driver may have been intoxicated. An officer responded and contacted both parties. The other driver was not intoxicated and information was exchanged. 

Suspicious circumstance: 12:49 a.m. Sunnyhills Drive. Caller reported a subject that has been outside her bedroom recently was outside her window talking to himself. Officer responded and checked the area. The subject was not located.

Juveniles damaging trashcans: 3:04 a.m. Butterfield Road. Caller reported a group of male juveniles running around in the area damaging trashcans. Officers checked the area and located some trashcans that had been knocked over, but were unable to locate the subjects.

Family disturbance: 1:26 p.m. San Rafael Avenue. Caller reported a family disturbance at the residence. Officers responded and contacted the subjects and they were counseled.

Stolen bike: 3:32 p.m. Buena Vista Avenue. Caller reported the theft of his dirt bike. The caller was contacted and the bike was reported as stolen.

Pedestrian vs. cyclist with minor injury: 4:02 p.m. San Anselmo Avenue. Caller reported a bicyclist vs. pedestrian collision in the area with unknown injuries. Officers, fire and medical responded and the bicyclist was transported to the hospital. A report was taken.

Vehicle complaint: 7:34 p.m. Saunders Avenue/Agatha Court. Caller reported a vehicle was parked and it appeared to have been in an accident with heavy front-end damage.  Officer advised it was involved in a collision the previous night and a report was taken.

Shots fired: 7:30 p.m. Oak Avenue. Caller said she heard three shots fired in the area. She advised she has heard other shots fired this week but this is the first time she reported it. Officers checked the area and found it was quiet on arrival. Contact was made with nearby residents, who advised they were outside and did not hear anything.

‘Loud thumping sound’: 9:44 p.m. Sir Francis Drake Blvd. Caller reported three vehicles were in the area with music playing and a loud thumping sound. Officers responded and contacted the driver of one of the vehicles and advised him of the complaint. Subjects were moved along.

Juveniles urinating: 10:01 p.m. Sir Francis Drake Blvd. Caller said four juveniles were urinating on the door of his business. He said the juveniles left on foot. Officers checked the area and the juveniles were not located. 

Noise complaint: 10:50 p.m. San Francisco Blvd. Caller reported his neighbors were being loud and when he asked them to quiet down, they responded by being louder. Officers responded and contacted a responsible, who was advised of the complaint and said they would quiet down. 

 

Friday, June 1 

Suspicious van: 12:21 a.m. Oak Avenue. Caller reported a van drove up the street, stopped in front of her residence and when the driver saw the caller he drove up the street. The area was checked and the vehicle was not location. Contact was made with the RP.

Landlord-tenant dispute: 8:21 a.m. Tamalpais Avenue. Caller reported a dispute between a male and female. Officers responded and determined it was a landlord/tenant dispute and advice was given to both parties.

Stolen vehicle: 3:15 p.m. Redwood Road. Caller reported his quad and trailer were stolen. Officer responded and a report was taken.

Arguing females: 3:22 p.m. San Anselmo Avenue. Caller reported two female subjects were in a dispute. Officer responded and counseled both parties.

Skateboarder with a paintball gun: 5 p.m. Yolanda Drive/Alder Avenue. Caller reported receiving second-hand information that a juvenile was on a skateboard and using a paintball gun to hit cars in the area. Officer located and contacted the juvenile who confirmed he was using the device, but the device was not located. The subject was warned on his behavior.

 

Thursday, May 31

Suspicious circumstances: 3:56 a.m. Sunnyhills Drive. Caller said a subject, possibly with special needs, has been coming to her apartment and standing outside her window at the front of the apartment talking to himself. Officers contacted the reporting person and the area was checked for the subject. The subject was not located.

Burglary: 10 a.m. Sir Francis Drake Blvd. Caller reported her residence was broken into and items were taken. Burglary to the residence occurred yesterday. Officer met with the reporting person and a report was taken. 

Criminal threats and road rage: 1 p.m. San Anselmo Avenue. Caller reported a possible road rage incident with a subject making threats. The subject did pull a knife out, but was no longer on scene. Contact was made with one of the drivers who advised he was involved and that the other subject punched his vehicle. The area was checked for the other subject and he was not located. A report was taken for documentation.

Hit-and-run: 1:16 p.m. Sir Francis Drake Blvd. Caller reported his vehicle was hit with no note left and he had no suspect information. Contact was made with the caller and log entry information was provided.

In pursuit of water: 4:38 p.m. Greenfield Avenue. Caller reported a male subject was in the business going through her purse and when she confronted him, he said he was looking for water and then he walked out. Officers responded and contacted the subject in the area. Contact was made with the reporting person, who did not want to press charges. The subject was warned about his behavior and abated from the area.

Suspicious circumstances: 4:54 p.m. Tamalpais Avenue. Caller reported a subject was inside his apartment yelling and appeared to have been “on something.” Officers responded and made contact with the subject. Matter checked out OK.
