Angry Man with Shotgun Arrested at San Anselmo Apartment Complex

Police detain 38-year-old man Saturday on Magnolia Avenue and find stash of rifles.

A 38-year-old San Anselmo man was arrested Saturday on suspicion of brandishing a shotgun and making terrorizing threats to someone in his downtown San Anselmo apartment complex, police said.

received a call at 1:44 p.m. that a man was waving a gun in the first block of Magnolia Avenue, just west of San Anselmo Avenue. Officers found that the man was in the process of being evicted and was threatening someone related to the apartment building’s management.

“We’ve received a number of calls for service to this complex about this man taunting other residents and the daughter of the manager,” Cpl. Julie Gorwood said. “He seems to have an aggressive streak.”

Gabriel Darius Grgich was taken into custody and booked at Marin County Jail. He faced four charges with bail of $50,000 for each of the two counts of threatening.

The officers also located several rifles in a nearby storage shed.
