Bike Theft Leads to Narcotics Arrest

Off-duty police apprehend suspect after bike theft.

An off-duty Tiburon police officer and an off-duty Sausalito police officer witnessed a bike theft on the 600 block of San Anselmo Avenue around 7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 17.

After stopping and detaining the suspect, Donald Hanneman, 42, of San Francisco, the two off-duty officers held the suspect until San Anselmo police could arrive.

San Anselmo officers, upon arrival, found narcotics and drug paraphenalia in Hanneman's possession.

He was arrested and booked in the county jail for possession of drug paraphenelia and possessin of illegal drugs. The bike was returned to its owner.
