Christmas Eve Rollover Crash in San Rafael Injures 6

Two crash victims listed in serious condition.

A single-vehicle rollover crash on Christmas Eve in unincorporated San Rafael left six accident victims hospitalized, authorities said.

The crash occurred shortly before 11:30 p.m. on Lucas Valley Road, about two miles west of Westgate Drive in Marinwood, San Rafael Fire Chief Chris Gray said.

Gray said two of the crash victims were listed in serious condition. The others suffered minor injuries.

Sixteen San Rafael and Marinwood firefighters working under the command of Battalion Chief Paul Crimmins along with three San Rafael paramedic units extricated the crash victims and treated them on the scene, Gray said.

Two San Rafael ambulances transported all six victims to Marin General Hospital, Gray said.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.
