Cyclists Blocking the Sidewalk and Several Fairfax Suspicions

The Fairfax Police Department blotter for Feb. 27 - March 2 includes a noisy rooster and car burglaries.

 

Saturday, March 2

Cyclists blocking sidewalk: 10:59 a.m. Bolinas Road. Officer is out with a large group of cyclists blocking the sidewalk and the roadway.

Rooster: 12:18 p.m. Manor Road. A rooster has been crowing for quite some time.

Noise complaint: 4:46 p.m. Scenic Road. RP (reporting person) would like someone to contact the subject pressure washing his motorcycle and see if he will cease as it is extremely loud and has been going on for some time.

Burglary: 5:14 p.m. Bolinas Road. Unknown subject attempted to gain entry into two of the RP’s vehicles.

Traffic complaint: 6:24 p.m. Rocca Drive. RP would like to see increased enforcement for speeding and hazardous driving on Rocca Drive. RP said vehicles are taking the roadway too fast and endangering small children and pets.

With subjects: 11:54 p.m. Bolinas Road. Officer contacted a juvenile behind the building. Officer transported the juvenile to the juvenile’s residence and released to parents.

 

Friday, March 1

Suspicious circumstances: 10:26 a.m. Fairfax Police Department on Bolinas Road. RP's daughter reported receiving a suicide threat via email. They do not know where the sender lives.

Suspicious circumstances: 1:43 p.m. Vista Way. RP received a suspicious phone call purporting to be from AT&T “verifying” information.

Suspicious circumstances: 4:37 p.m. Dominga Avenue. RP sees two juveniles with what he thinks is the metal cart that holds the chairs up at the pavilion. Officers were unable to locate the juveniles, but the pavilion was checked and the cart is still where it belongs.

911 misdial: 9:42 p.m. Female caller rapidly stated, "sorry, wrong number, "then hung up. Callback went to voicemail. Officers responded and determined there was no emergency.

 

Thursday, Feb. 28

Public intoxication: 8:38 a.m. Broadway. RP requested a welfare check on a subject seen staggering down the street. Officers contacted the subject and arrested her for public intoxication.

Suspicious person: 12:55 p.m. Belmont Avenue. Subject just ducked up driveway. Subject is a man, roughly 6'1, in dark beige baggy pants, white sneakers, green oversized T, baseball hat and scruffy complexion in the early 30's. Seen earlier on Belle, laying in a driveway.

Suspicious circumstances: 4:51 p.m. Bolinas Road. RP reported a possible suspicious subject at a neighbor’s house. RP advised he might be a worker, but she has not seen him in the area before and due to recent burglaries in Fairfax would like an officer to check on him.

 

Wednesday, Feb. 27

Drug violation: 10:31 p.m. Coolidge Avenue. Officers responded to a reported roadway hazard, and ultimately arrested the responsible person for narcotics possession.
