DUI Accident on Sir Francis Drake

Two more unrelated accidents on the busy street Tuesday.

San Anselmo Police arrested a woman suspected of driving under the influence and leaving the scene of an accident Monday evening.

Officers reportedly responded to a call of an two-car accident in front of 1327 Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 5:11 p.m. Upon arrival, officers said they located one car abandoned in the westbound lane. A second car, with passengers standing by, was located in the high school parking lot.

The people in the second car told officers that the woman in the abandoned car had left after leaving her name and address.

All the passengers at the high school were treated on the scene and released.

Rachel Thomson, 43, of San Anselmo, later same to the police department lobby and reported that she had been involved in a collision. Upon investigation, officers placed Thomson under arrest for driving under the influence of alcohol and leaving the scene of an accident.

There were two more unrelated accidents on Sir Francis Drake Bouleavrd around 7 p.m. Tuesday evening. A car rear-ended another car at San Anselmo Avenue, shutting down one lane. In a seperate incident, a car went up onto the sidewalk, nearly hitting a stop sign pole, near San Franciso Boulevard.
