Fairfax Blotter: Death Threats and $12K in Stolen Jewelry

The Fairfax Police log for Jan. 2-7 includes water main issues that almost flooded M&G Burgers.

 

Monday, Jan., 7 

Suspicious circumstances: 7:40 p.m. Spruce Road. Subject came to the RP’s door asking to repair her heater around 5 p.m. RP (reporting person) did not request a repair person and thinks the subject’s presence and behavior was suspicious. RP requested extra patrol in the area.

Public intoxication: 8:54 p.m. Sir Francis Drake Blvd. A woman across the street fell. RP thinks she may need assistance. Officers responded and contacted the subject who was arrested for public intoxication.

Suspicious circumstances: 10:06 p.m. Occurred at Redhill Union 76 Service on Sir Francis Drake Blvd. A subject took offense at a bumper sticker on the RP’s car and called her names and made comments she found threatening. RP called as she was driving through Fairfax and she was concerned the subject might to follow her.

Sunday, Jan. 6

Dead deer: 9:12 a.m. Sir Francis Drake Blvd. and Alhambra Circle. Officer is out with a dead deer in the road.

Unwanted subject: 3:01 p.m. Marinda Drive. Two reports of a male subject walking up the road. One caller said he looks like he may be “headed for the hills.”

Vandalism: 10:12 p.m. Deer Park School on Porteous Avenue. RP is at the lobby to report graffiti (white paint) on asphalt. 

 

Saturday, Jan. 5

Noise complaint: 4:16 a.m. Good Earth on Center Blvd. Report of one big truck delivering vegetables, and someone is banging cans around on the delivery dock. RP was awakened by the noise.

Warrant criminal: 10:24 a.m. Frustuck Avenue. A woman with brown hair and a broken arm told the RP that someone was after her and to call a person for her. The subject then walked to the rear of an address on Merwin. Disposition: arrest made.

Threats: 12:38 p.m. Willow Avenue. RP stated that last night a man told her to give him her money then kill herself. She said the man has threatened to kill her in the past.

Vehicle vs. bike: 3 p.m. Report of a vehicle vs. bicycle accident with a minor injury.

Water main issues: 9:09 p.m. M&G Burgers on Sir Francis Drake Blvd. Water is coming up from a storm drain on Sir Francis Drake Blvd. and it is flowing onto the patio. Water has not entered the building yet. RP is concerned that if it gets worse the water could flood the building’s interior. MMWD responded and determined it was a faulty water main, requiring emergency repairs. Eastbound traffic on SFD was diverted to Broadway through the night.

 

Friday, Jan. 4 

Town code violation: 5:12 a.m. Good Earth on Center Blvd. Two big-rigs have been there 15-20 minutes. Back-up beepers are going off.

Sleeper: 6:34 a.m. Post Office on Center Blvd. A man is sleeping under a desk. Subject was facing the wall, so RP couldn’t see his face.

Civil problem: 7:18 p.m. Sherwood Oaks Apartments on Bolinas Road. RP was vacuuming her apartment after her child spilled something. The vacuum was running for about two minutes. The downstairs neighbors began banging on their ceiling in retaliation. RP wanted to speak with an officer by phone.

 

Thursday, Jan. 3 

Citizen assist: 2:10 a.m. Live Oak Avenue. RP requested assistance regarding her son obeying his curfew.

Threats: 11:05 p.m. Piper Court. RP was threatened by his nephew, who said he is going to shoot him if he did not give his shirts back.

Theft: 12:26 p.m. Snowden Lane. RP’s landlord packed her property for her. Most of her jewelry is missing, approximately worth $12,000.

Stolen bike: 5:12 p.m. Mono Lot on Mono Avenue. Mountain bike was stolen yesterday sometime between 2:30 and 4 p.m. Approximately worth $3,500.

 

Wednesday, Jan. 2 

Hazard: 9:09 a.m. Scenic Road. RP said a broken water line is shooting water over the top of a house. No one is at the home.

Theft: 7:16 p.m. Bolinas Road. RP’s ex took her bank card (which she blocked access to) and has threatened to vandalize her car.

Trespassing: 10:20 p.m. Lansdale Avenue. RP claims her neighbor just walked into her apartment and then left.
