Fairfax Cats Killed By a Dog and Juveniles with a Joint

The Fairfax Cop Log for Oct. 3-9 includes a DUI arrest and a public intoxication arrest.

 

Tuesday, Oct. 9

Suspicious circumstances: 12:48 a.m. Shady Brook Apartments on Merwin Avenue. Several 911 calls reporting a subject screaming ‘call 911.’ Officers responded and contacted several subjects engaged in a very loud argument.

Find the flute: 11:35 a.m. Sequoia Road. RP said his daughter’s flute was stolen from her unlocked vehicle this morning. The flute was later found - it had been misplaced.

Juveniles with a joint: 11:49 a.m. Peri Park on Park Road. Four juveniles are gathered in the Bocce Ball court area. They appear to be passing a joint back and forth to each other.

Copper piping theft: 1:10 p.m. Charter Oaks Apartments on Center Blvd. RP has discovered more damage associated with an incident reported earlier, and the possible theft of copper piping.

Burglary: 2:03 p.m. Good Earth on Center Bld. RP’s vehicle was entered and ransacked yesterday.

 

Monday, Oct. 8

Odd subject: 2:55 p.m. Gestault Haus on Bolinas Road. Complaint of a subject acting “oddly” in the restaurant and disturbing customers. Disposition: arrest made.

Injured deer: 7:52 p.m. Sir Francis Drake Blvd. Injured deer on the sidewalk that appears to have been hit by a car and injured its leg. While the RP was on the phone, the deer appeared to be trying to go up the hillside.

Dead body: 10:50 p.m. Willow Avenue. RP requested medical for an unresponsive subject. Police and fire personnel responded and determined the subject was deceased.

 

Sunday, Oct. 7

Public intoxication: 12:35 a.m. Fairfax Theatre. Officer initiated activity. Subject arrested for public intoxication. Disposition: arrest made.

Noise complaint: 8:48 a.m. Bothin Road. RP requested a decibel reading for noise that’s coming from his neighbor’s fountain.

Citizen assist: 1:07 p.m. Center Blvd. RP would like to speak with an officer about a subject who has harassed her multiple times.

 

Saturday, Oct. 6

Assist other agency: 11:50 a.m. Azalea Avenue. Fire responding to a broken gas line at the residence. Disposition: unfounded.

Lost keys: 7:21 p.m. Bolinas Road and Broadway. RP reports losing her set of keys somewhere downtown today.

DUI: 9:41 p.m. Center Blvd. and San Anselmo Avenue. Arrest made for driving under the influence.

 

Friday, Oct. 5 

Assist: 6:40 p.m. Sir Francis Drake Blvd. and Pastori Avenue. San Anselmo Police requested the Fairfax Police divert traffic from SFD to Pastori to Center, due to a fallen power pole on SFD at Butterfield that is blocking traffic.

Noise complaint: 9:41 p.m. Deer Park Villa on Bolinas Road. RP requests a formal decibel reading and complaint to be issued for the music level from the villa.

Suspicious person: 11:07 p.m. Creekside Apartments on Sir Francis Drake Blvd. RP is waiting for her friend to arrive home and a man keeps peering over the back fence at her and will not go away.

Noise complaint: 11:26 p.m. 19 Broadway. RP reports that the bar has their back doors open and the crowds are spilling out into the alleyway and making a lot of noise, disturbing the RP’s tenants.

 

Thursday, Oct. 4 

Vandalism: 9:46 a.m. Charter Oaks Apartments on Center Blvd. Water heater in the car port appears to have been vandalized. Water was pouring out. RP shut it off.

Fire call: 2:54 p.m. Glen Drive. Report of fire beyond the canyon, heavy smoke. Per County Fire, there is a controlled burn in the area of Dogtown.

Barking dog: 4:01 p.m. Spruce Road. Dog has been barking for 30 minutes. RP would like to make a citizens arrest.

Garbage complaint: 10:30 p.m. Fairfax Coin Car Wash on Sir Francis Drake Blvd. RP said a subject just dumped a large bag of trash on the car was grounds and drove away. RP followed the vehicle and got the license number.

 

Wednesday, Oct. 3

Dog kills a cat: 4:32 p.m. Tamalpais Road. RP found a cat that had been killed by a dog on her property. Her neighbor found another one. He also saw a dog carrying the cat’s body back to where the dogs live. Dog owner assumed responsibility and agreed to take steps to prevent such instances in the future.

Noise complaint: 8:13 p.m. Deer Park Villa on Bolinas Road. Music has been going for 10 minutes. RP called the general manage, who hung up on him. RP requested an officer respond and take a noise reading.
