Fairfax Garage Damaged by Early Morning Fire

Ross Valley Fire was aided by Marin County Fire on the 3:29 a.m. call.

A garage fire in Fairfax early Sunday morning caused about $20,000 in damage, according to the .

Units responded to a 3:29 a.m. call at 63 Laurel Drive and found a detached garage on fire, according to RVFD's Jim Hanson. It was quickly extinguished and the site was declared under control at 3:53 a.m.

Nobody was injured or displaced. There was no damage to the adjacent home, Hanson said.

RVFD received assistance from the Marin County Fire Department, and 17 personnel were at the fire scene.  The cause is under investigation.
