Fairfax Man Booked into Jail After Marin City Skirmish

A fight turned violent when two suspects allegedly used a baseball bat and a gardening branch saw as weapons, sending a victim to the hospital and two men to jail.

Marin deputies arrested two men after a fight escalated and injured a victim on Monday, according to Sgt. Mark Hale.

San Rafael resident Kenny Ray White, 60, and Fairfax resident Craig Randall Hill, 48, were booked in on July 17 on felony charges of assault with a deadly weapon. Their bail is set at $50,000 each.

At approximately 12:30 p.m., deputies received reports of a fight near 48 Cole Drive in Marin City. The suspects were fighting, when the argument turned violent. A baseball bat and a gardening branch saw was used in the skirmish and a third individual suffered cuts and possible broken ribs from the weapons, Hale said.

“We’re still investigating the incident and we do not know the motives for the fight at this point,” he said.

The victim was transported to for non-life threatening injuries and the two suspects were taken into custody.
