Fairfax Police: Another Bike Stolen, House TP'd, Flag Vandalized

Sunday, July 10

Suspicious Vehicle: An officer initiated activity in the Mono parking lot at 1:40 a.m.

Burglary: A resident reported she heard footsteps in the upper unit of a building on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 4:30 a.m., which should be vacant. No cars were seen, only heard.

Tree Down: A down tree on wires took out the power on Cascade Drive at 9:19 a.m.

Noise: Someone was playing electric guitar too loudly on Summer Avenue at 12:34 p.m.

Suspicious Circumstances: A subject was seen taking down the material placed on the hillside opposite Sir Francis Drake Boulevard for erosion control and putting it in his pickup truck at 1:03 p.m.

Town Code Violation: A resident’s sons located a homeless encampment off the trail near Marinda Drive.

Noise: There was loud, live music on Forrest Avenue at 3:21 p.m.

Juveniles: There were juveniles in Peri Park throwing water balloons at 6:08 p.m.

Welfare Check: A small child was crying for nearly two hours at the top of his lungs on Willow Avenue.

Hazard: A BBQ at Peri Park was still full of hot, smoking coals after an event during the day.

Noise: There was a sound of bongo drums somewhere in downtown at 10:02 p.m. 

Saturday, July 9

Vandalism: Four juveniles tp’d a house and saran wrapped the resident’s son’s car on San Gabriel Drive at 12:56 a.m.

Suspicious Circumstances: There was a teletype received regarding a suspicious person.

Animal: A resident’s two dogs got out on Scenic Trail. One is a red collie and one is a black lab with white feet.

Assault: A resident reported that he was assaulted by a drive on the side of Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 11:29 a.m. and was kicked in the chest. He declined medical.

Suspicious Circumstances: A resident received a suspicious check with a request that he return part of the funds. He checked with his bank and learned the check is counterfeit.

Sleeper: A man was sleeping under the palm trees in the small park at Cascade Drive and Bolinas Road at 1:37 p.m. He’s been sleeping there for three days.

Theft: A bike was stolen from the porch of a house on Ridge Road.

Vandalism: The American flag in front of Barefoot Café was broken overnight.

Suspicious Circumstances: A resident received a call telling him his car had been hit and the bumper was off it on Bolinas Road at 6:13 p.m.

Unwanted Subject: A resident’s boyfriend was intoxicated and wouldn’t leave the house on Azalea Avenue at 8:05 p.m.

Noise: There was a loud party coming down from the hill at Deer Park Villa at 9:45 p.m.

Animal: A resident’s cat was stuck in a tree since the morning on Willow Avenue.

Barking Dog: A dog was barking on Porteous Avenue for two hours.

Tree Cut Complaint: There was a possibly illegal tree removal of juniper trees at the Fair Oaks Apartments.

Friday, July 8

Noise: There was loud music coming from downtown at 12:18 a.m.

Vehicle Impounded: A car on Scenic Road was cited the day before for less than 12 feet of clearance, but it hadn’t moved at 8:58 a.m., so was cited again.

Hazard: There was a green pole or guard rail between Town Hall and 7-11, which is freshly painted and sticking up.

Civil Problem: There was a dispute between neighbors on Cascade Drive. A neighbor claimed a resident had gone onto her property to move a beehive, but the resident says he’s owned the property for 90 years and the creek has moved in that time, so the property line is no longer determined by the creek.

Suspicious Person: A man said he was looking for a job on Forrest Avenue at 11:30 a.m.

Restraining Order Violation: A woman was followed by a restrained person in a protective order, who tailgated her for several miles on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard.

Welfare Check: An upset subject was asking for help at St. Rita’s at 3:13 p.m. He said he didn’t know what to do and might jump.

Accident – No Injury: A truck hit a fence on Taylor Drive at 3:27 p.m. The truck was then stuck and people were trying to pull it with ropes.

Miscellaneous Service: A resident received an anonymous note that she stop practicing the acoustic guitar after 10 p.m.

Public Intoxication: An intoxicated subject wouldn’t wake up at Bolinas Road and Broadway Avenue at 5:11 p.m.

Driving on a Suspended License: At a traffic stop at the parking lot at 19 Broadway at 6:06 p.m., officers issued a citation.

Threats: A resident’s tenant told him, “I will hurt you” over a water issue.

Theft: A mountain bike, worth $5,000, was stolen out of an unlocked shed on Holly Road.

Suspicious Circumstances: Two cars were driving in the playground at St. Rita’s at 9:14 p.m.

Burglary: A resident thinks her house on Cypress Drive might have been burglarized. A change jar with $300 is missing.

Noise: There was a loud party on Forrest Terrace at 11:15 p.m.
