Fairfax Police: Bank Robber Spotted, Cat Abandoned, Needles Found

Monday, Oct. 31

Driving Under the Influence: An arrest was made at Butterfield Road and Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 12:58 a.m.

Unwanted Subject: A resident reported her son was at her apartment at the Creekside Apartments at 2:11 a.m. and was being very disrespectful.

Vandalism: An officer initiated activity on Bolinas Road.

Smoke: There was a smell of smoke coming from a resident’s wall heater on Taylor Drive at 11:36 a.m.

Suspicious Circumstances: A subject was screaming in his apartment on Taylor Drive at 11:47 a.m.

Hit and Run: A resident was at a party on Saturday night on Spring Lane and the next day she noticed that a car hit the rear of her car during the night and no contact information was left.

Assist Outside Agency: The Marin County probation unit requested assistance conducting a compliance inspection on Pine Drive.

Citizen Assist: A resident’s nephew stole $800 from her and she would like an officer to speak with him.

Citizen Assist: A resident’s neighbor threatened to do something to their dog on Westbrae Drive, claiming it barks nonstop.

Suspicious Person: A subject was seen at Fairfax Lumber who resembled a person that robbed a bank in Corte Madera. A resident has a picture of the suspect on a flyer at work.

Disturbance: There was an anonymous report of several subjects yelling and screaming at each other on Pine Drive at 9:31 p.m.

Public Intoxication: A man was down in the road at Azalea Avenue and Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 10:39 p.m. An arrest was made.

Threats: An employee of 19 Broadway was receiving threats over the phone from a woman she recently threw out of the bar.

Tuesday, Nov. 1

Unwanted Subject: There was an unwanted subject at Peri’s at 1:18 a.m.

Fire: There was a strong smell of smoke coming from the attic on Forrest Avenue at 7:34 a.m.

Suspicious Vehicle: A subject was sleeping inside his car at the School Street plaza at 7:53 p.m.

Citizen Assist: A resident’s sign was vandalized sometime the night before.

Barking Dog: A dog was barking constantly for an hour on Sequoia Road.

Animal: A resident found a cat in a carrier, abandoned in Fairfax Park at 11:22 p.m.

Wednesday, Nov. 2

Suspicious Vehicle: An officer was out investigating a car with an open door on Bolinas Road at 1:50 a.m.

Lost/Stolen: A resident reported losing her wallet in downtown sometime on Halloween.

Vandalism: There was graffiti on a logo located to the rear of the Bank of America building.

Suspicious Vehicle: There were five suspicious subjects in a car at the Bank of America at 10:50 a.m.

Citizen Assist: An officer was requested to come to White Hill and speak with a couple of students about stealing.

Found: Two needles were found in the driveway of a property on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard.

Warrant: A resident called the sheriff’s office requesting an ambulance respond to the pool area of Creekside Apartment at 1:59 p.m.

Suspicious Circumstances: A subject in a sports car asked a juvenile how old she was, her name, if she had a phone and number, and where she was going outside the Fairfax Library.

Barking Dog: For the second night in a row, a dog was barking nonstop on Sequoia Road.

Suspicious Person: There was a suspicious subject at the Sherwood Oaks Apartments at 10:35 p.m.

Thursday, Nov. 3

Suspicious Vehicle: An officer initiated activity on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 2:22 a.m.

Driving without a License: A citation was issued at Sir Francis Drake Boulevard and Broadway Avenue at 6:07 a.m.

Vandalism: An unknown subject vandalized an elevator at the Sherwood Oaks Apartments and now it doesn’t work.

Animal: A coyote was seen on San Gabriel Drive at 9:56 a.m.

Driving without a License: At a traffic stop at Sir Francis Drake Boulevard and Kent Avenue at 12:17 p.m. a citation was issued.

Suspicious Circumstances: A resident received an unusual call that morning around 5:48 a.m. and is concerned the caller may be in need of assistance.

Warrant: A subject was arrested on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard for an outstanding $5,000 warrant.

Civil Problem: There was a collision between a dumpster and house on Willow Avenue.

Disturbance: A son and father were screaming at each other at the Sherwood Oaks Apartments at 8:55 p.m.
