Fairfax Police: Block Party, Rooster Crowing, Suspicious Boxes

Sunday, July 31

Public Intoxication: There was a possibly intoxicated person on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 1:28 a.m. The subject had been drinking, but didn’t meet the criteria for public intoxication.

Suspicious Vehicle: Officer initiated activity at the Pavilion at 3:09 a.m.

Citizen Assist: A resident’s car was hit the night before and the responsible left a phone number, but was now refusing to provide any other information.

Noise: There was loud music on Live Oak Avenue at 6:23 p.m. It was the annual Maple Avenue block party.

Saturday, July 30 

Skateboarding Violation: There were two juveniles behind the post office skateboarding at 1:02 a.m.

Sleeper: A subject was warned for sleeping in his car at the Fairfax Library at 1:10 a.m.

Noise: There was noise and a loud party on Inyo Avenue at 2:21 a.m.

Theft: A resident came in to speak to an officer about the possible theft of his medication.

Hit and Run: The person who picks up recycled cardboard outside the Barefoot Café hit a resident’s van in the morning and left without leaving notice.

Citizen Assist: A resident wanted advice about a dispute with a family member regarding a restraining order.

Animal: A pitbull appeared to be off leash and aggressive on Bridge Court at 2:11 p.m.

Barking Dog: A dog was barking for two to three hours on Porteous Avenue.

Harassing Phone Calls: A resident has been receiving odd phone calls.

Friday, July 29

Animal: A rooster has been crowing all week long on Creek Road.

Miscellaneous Service: There were human feces about 12 feet behind the No Smoking sign in Peri Park.

Burglary: Someone entered a resident’s unlocked house on Scenic Road and took camera equipment.

Animal: There was a missing tan dog, by the name of Zeus.

Suspicious Circumstances: There were five to seven boxes in front of a house at Spruce Road and Azalea Avenue at 3:07 p.m.

Unwanted Subject: An unwanted man was standing outside the Fairfax Market at 3:23 p.m. He’s been told to leave before, but remains.

Suspicious Vehicle: An officer initiated activity at Kingdom Hall at 6:59 p.m.

Insanity Case: A juvenile was experiencing a psychotic break on Hickory Road.

Vandalism: A resident wanted to document damages to his house over the last couple weeks caused by arguing tenants on Pine Drive.

Noise: There was amplified music and a man’s voice on a loudspeaker at Arroyo and Spruce Roads at 9:41 p.m. A guy outside was charging for entrance.

Juvenile: Four to five juveniles left their bikes at the bottom of the hill behind Bennett House.

Noise: There was a party on Alder Court at 10:04 p.m.

Juvenile: There was a group of juveniles in front of the youth center screaming obscenities at 11:13 p.m.
