Fairfax Police: Bubbles are Traffic Danger, Threats Made, Dog Found

Thursday, Feb. 10

Noise: Sounds heard outside Cascade Canyon School at 1:02 a.m.

Suspicious Vehicle: An officer initiated activity at the Pavillion at 2:05 a.m.

Threats: There were reports of threats being made to a resident on Pine Drive at 10:52 a.m. An arrest was made.

Public Intoxication: A subject was possibly under the influence of drugs at the Coffee Roastery at 1:48 p.m. He was sitting in front of the premises not able to walk or stand and was arrested.

Wednesday, Feb. 9

Animal Problem: Coyotes were howling in the area of Marin Town and Country Club at 2:58 a.m. Officers checked the area and found a small coyote hunting mice.

Barking Dog: A resident requested that the owners of a dog be contacted on Frustuck Avenue about its barking.

Hazard: There was a spilled bag of cement on the road at Sir Francis Drake Boulevard and Sherman Court.

Suspicious Circumstances: A resident’s daughter was followed by a car as she was walking on the side of the road on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard. 

Tuesday, Feb. 8

Suspicious Vehicle: An officer checked a possible sleeper at the top of Arrowwood Lane at 4:25 a.m. Subjects were advised of town code and abated.

Theft: A resident’s computer was stolen, possibly from his vehicle on Dominga Avenue.

Domestic Violence/Disturbance: There was a 9-1-1 call that was a hang-up on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 10:50 a.m. On call back, the woman advised she was having an argument with her boyfriend.

Fraud: A resident’s credit card was used in Georgia.

Theft: A resident’s son’s bike was stolen on Feb. 7.

Child Abuse Report: A child abuse report was cross-received.

Citizen Assist: A resident requested an officer’s assistance at the Robinhood Manor Apartments at 5:19 p.m. A juvenile was counseled about theft.

Found: A black and white Jack Russell terrier with a windbreaker on was found on Manor Road at 7:01 p.m.

Public Intoxication: An officer located an intoxicated subject on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 11:19 p.m. The subject was transported to the Helen Vine Detox Center.

Monday, Feb. 7

Suspicious Vehicle: An officer initiated at Deer Park School at 2:03 a.m.

Abandoned Vehicle: There were a number of reports of abandoned vehicles.

Hazard: A subject was blowing bubbles on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard and the wind blows them into traffic, interfering with the driver’s vision. A resident reported she was almost involved in two accidents because of the bubbles.

Theft: A bike was stolen on Tamalpais Road.

Fire: A resident reported her oven was on fire on Live Oak Avenue. The fire was contained inside the oven.

Driving Under the Influence: There was a possible DUI drive by Bank of America at 9:30 p.m. The driver was located and the complaint was unfounded.
