Fairfax Police: Cat on Car Roof, Light on Mt. Tam, Smoke

Thursday, Sept. 15

Lost/Stolen: A resident lost a set of keys at the Fairfax Car Wash.

Lost/Stolen: A flash drive was lost at the farmer’s market.

Lost/Stolen: Keys were lost at Deer Park.

Theft: A bike was stolen from a driveway on Meernaa Avenue.

Juveniles: A group of juveniles was cheering in the street on Sequoia Avenue at 7:32 p.m.

Animal: A dog without a collar was seen near Fairfax Lumber without a person at 8:54 p.m.

Suspicious Circumstances: A resident reported seeing a suspicious man while riding her bike home in the evening.

Wednesday, Sept. 14

Barking Dog: A dog was barking for two hours on Manor Road.

Town Code Violation: A car was possibly being used for habitation on Canyon Road at 10:45 a.m.

Animal: A dog was in a car with the windows barely open and in direct sunlight at Sir Francis Drake Boulevard and Claus Drive at 12:16 p.m.

Suspicious Circumstances: Ashes were dumped along the creek to the rear of Fair-Anselm.

Town Code Violation: Several aggressive vacuum salesmen have come to the area of Napa Avenue and are soliciting.

Lost/Stolen: An Audi key was lost in the downtown area.

9-1-1 Hang-Up: Officers responded to a report of a physical disturbance between a man and woman at the Fairfax Coin Carwash at 7:07 p.m. The woman was arrested and booked into the county jail.

Animal: A resident reported a white Jeep was westbound on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 10:29 p.m. with a large Siamese cat on its roof, barely hanging on.

Tuesday, Sept. 13

Suspicious Vehicle: There was a suspicious vehicle to the rear of the Pavilion at 1:24 a.m.

Barking Dog: A dog was barking for over an hour on Manor Road at 2:55 a.m.

Driving on a Suspended License: At a traffic stop at Oak Manor Drive and Arrowwood Lane at 8:12 a.m., a driver was found to be driving on a suspended license.

Barking Dog: A resident reported an ongoing problem with a neighbor’s dog barking on Scenic Trail.

Welfare Check: A resident was concerned for her mother’s welfare and wanted a check on her.

Suspicious Circumstances: There was a suspicious subject on Bolinas Road at 1:27 p.m.

Traffic Complaint: A large moving truck was stuck on Oak Road at 2:10 p.m.

Suspicious Vehicle: An officer initiated activity on Bolinas Road at 2:27 p.m.

Found Property: An iPod and ID cards were turned in to the police.

Assist Outside Agency: A resident reported seeing a light on Mt. Tam where she’s never seen one before and wondered if there were any missing hikers.

Monday, Sept. 12

Suspicious Vehicle: An officer initiated activity on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 1:11 a.m.

Barking Dog: Two dogs were barking for 30 minutes at Scenic and Tamalpais Roads at 2:45 a.m.

Suspicious Vehicle: A car was in a carport with the dome light on on Scenic Road at 2:59 a.m.

Fire Call: Smoke in a house on Scenic Road was probably coming from the bathroom, potentially an electrical fire.

With Subject: An officer initiated activity with different subjects in Peri Park at 8:15 p.m.

Animal: A dog was running around loose in downtown at 10:31 p.m.

Public Intoxication: An officer initiated activity at Fairfax Lumber at 10:59 p.m. and an arrest was made.
