Fairfax Police: Chairs Stolen, Juveniles on Roof, Mountain Lion

Monday, Nov. 21

Noise: There was loud music playing at the Sherwood Oaks Apartments at 3:13 a.m. A neighbor asked them to turn it down and they started yelling at that neighbor.

Theft: Three chairs, all connected, were stolen overnight from the Washing Well.

Accident: There was a two car accident at Northbay Gas. One driver was see getting out of his car.

Driving without a License: An officer initiated activity at Sir Francis Drake Boulevard and Marinda Drive at 8:16 a.m. with a roofing truck whose license was blocked. A citation was issued.

Town Code Violation: A juvenile was shooting a bb gun on Arrowwood Lane at 1:32 p.m.

Missing Person: There was a possible missing juvenile from Manor School. She was determined to be with her father.

Suspicious Circumstances: A resident was concerned about her husband’s erratic behavior.

Welfare Check: A resident wanted a welfare check on her brother on Chester Avenue.

Suspicious Person: There was a suspicious person in front of the 7-11 at 7:40 p.m.

Assist Outside Agency: A car pulled into the fire station on Bolinas Road with several injured people in it. The Fire Department requested police assistance.

Fire: There was a smell of natural gas on Bothin Road at 10:51 p.m.

Tuesday, Nov. 22

Theft: The bartender at 19 Broadway reported the possible theft of a musician’s instrument.

Animal: There was a dog in a car with the windows rolled up outside Good Earth at 11:42 a.m.

Warrant Criminal: An arrest was made at the Fairfax Police station.

Found: A resident found a set of keys with an LED flashlight outside the library.

Suspicious Person: A man wearing a Santa Claus hat was talking to himself in front of a residence on Pine Drive at 5:13 p.m. The resident’s neighbors asked him what he was doing and he wasn’t making any sense.

Threats: A resident has been receiving threatening emails.

Suspicious Circumstances: A resident requested a drive by on Frustuck Avenue because a man with a pickup was in the area and the resident was previously burglarized and has never seen this man before.

Welfare Check: A resident reported that the apartment across from hers on Taylor Drive has a beeping sound and the elderly neighbor is not answering the door.

Driving Under the Influence: An officer initiated activity at Center Boulevard and Pastori Avenue at 10:58 p.m.

Wednesday, Nov. 23

Disturbance: Loud subjects were screaming at Belmont and Pastori Avenues at 1:18 a.m.

Traffic Complaint: Police assistance was needed with a large vehicle with trailer that needed to back across Sir Francis Drake Boulevard from Pastori to get into O’Donnell’s Nursery.

Suspicious Circumstances: There was a possible gunshot hear in the area of Redwood Road at 11:27 a.m.

Vandalism: A washer and dryer on Belle Avenue had graffiti painted on them.

Citizen Assist: A resident wanted to speak with an officer about an odd call she received from a machine claiming to be with Bank of America.

Citizen Assist: A resident received two tickets in the mail for a car she does not own.

Barking Dog: There was a complaint of a dog barking all day long on Main Court.

Animal: A resident reported that his wife saw a mountain lion in the backyard on Mariele Drive around 4 p.m.

Assault: A resident reported just being assaulted by a subject at Casa Manana at 9:50 p.m.

Noise: There was a band playing loudly on Marinda Drive at 10:06 p.m.

Thursday, Nov. 24

Suspicious Vehicle: An officer initiated activity on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 1:14 a.m.

Public Intoxication: An officer initiated activity at the Parkade at 1:49 a.m. and an arrest was made.

Theft: A resident reported the theft of a guitar from 19 Broadway.

Public Intoxication: A resident reported a subject, who appeared to be extremely intoxicated, near the playground at Peri Park at 4:32 p.m. He was arrested for public intoxication.

Friday, Nov. 25

Welfare Check: A woman was outside the Fairfax Community Church yelling angrily at 12:43 a.m. The woman was hostile to people trying to help her.

Noise: There was a complaint of the music from Peri’s being too loud at 1:26 a.m.

Noise: There was a truck idling in front of Fairfax Lumber at 6:49 a.m.

Suspicious Circumstances: A resident wanted to talk to an officer about an incident the day before.

Suspicious Person: A subject was walking up to each of the houses at the Marin Town and Country Club and appeared out of it at 3:52 p.m.

Restraining Order Violation: An officer warned and abated a subject from in front of a location on Broadway he has a court order to stay away from.

Missing Person: A resident wanted to report her brother is missing and hasn’t been heard from since Nov. 24. Dispatch made a phone call and located the brother.

Probation Violation: A man was acting really out of it at Nave’s at 11:21 p.m. and was asked repeatedly to leave. An arrest was made.

Domestic Violence: Neighbors heard screaming on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 11:52 p.m. It had been going on since 7 p.m.

Saturday, Nov. 26

Insanity: A subject was placed on a 72-hour hold at the Marin Town and Country Club at 12:16 a.m.

Public Intoxication: An officer initiated activity at A Touch of Class at 1:01 a.m. and an arrest was made.

Disturbance: An officer was flagged down for a disturbance at 19 Broadway at 1:19 a.m. and an arrest was made.

Barking Dog: A dog was barking for at least an hour on Scenic Road at 1:56 a.m.

Public Intoxication: An officer initiated activity on Bolinas Road at 2:35 a.m. and an arrest was made.

Suspicious Circumstances: A car was left unattended, parked with the top down at Nave’s.

Driving without a License: A subject was cited for driving without a license at a traffic stop at Sir Francis Drake Boulevard and Oak Manor Drive at 7:56 a.m.

Town Code Violation: A subject was panhandling and smoking under an open window to a business on Bolinas Road at 1:36 p.m.

Juvenile: Three juveniles climbed onto the roof of Cascade Canyon School at 1:36 p.m.

Domestic Violence: A resident reported what sounded like a physical fight, possibly between two men, at the Sherwood Oaks Apartments at 8:06 p.m. Officers determined it was noise from people watching a football game on TV.

Unwanted Subject: Three juveniles were on the roof of Manor School at 9:56 p.m. They were released to parents.

Public Intoxication: A man was seen stumbling on the sidewalk at Sir Francis Drake Boulevard and Oak Manor Drive at 10:11 p.m. An arrest was made.

Sunday, Nov. 27

Domestic Violence: There was a report of domestic violence at the Sherwood Oaks Apartments at 12:50 a.m.

Welfare Check: The sister of a Fairfax resident has been trying to call her from two months and was calling from France and didn’t speak any English.

Public Intoxication: People on the patio at 19 Broadway reported to the bartender that someone was threatening other patrons at 1:26 a.m. An arrest was made.

Citizen Assist: A resident walked into the Fairfax Police Department lobby and requested a cab was called for him.

Civil Problem: A resident reported her bike was stolen three weeks ago. It was determined to be a civil problem.
