Fairfax Police: Copper Pipe Stolen, Bloody Needle Found

Sunday, Oct. 16

Theft: A subject reportedly stole items from his roommate on Cascade Drive at 12:21 a.m.

Driving without a License: An officer initiated activity on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 12:21 a.m. and a citation was issued.

Noise: There was loud talking at 7-11 on Bolinas Road at 1:49 a.m.

Disturbance: There was a group of 7 to 8 people being loud, using profanity, on Dominga Avenue at 2:30 a.m. and a fight was likely about to start.

Noise: Two people were talking in front of the youth center on Park Road at 2:40 a.m.

Noise: Loud screaming started at about 4 a.m. on Pine Drive with about two people arguing until 5:30 a.m.

Unwanted Subject: A subject was bothering customers at Beach House Style at 10:24 a.m.

Burglary: Copper pipe was taken from Fairfax Lumber and Hardware during the night.

Theft: A truck with three subjects was taking firewood on Canyon Road that was left for other property owners.

Suspicious Circumstances: There was a suspicious person downtown on Mono Avenue who was swearing and kicking objects at 4:26 p.m.

Barking Dog: A dog was barking intermittently for an hour on Chester Avenue. It’s an ongoing issue.

Saturday, Oct. 15

Noise: Loud music playing at the Mono lot at 1:37 a.m., possibly a party.

Public Intoxication: An officer initiated activity on Bolinas Road at 1:43 a.m. and an arrest was made.

Noise: A group of people was yelling at the 7-11 on Bolinas Road at 2:09 a.m.

Suspicious Vehicle: An officer initiated activity at the Fairfax Library at 3:22 a.m.

Found Property: A bloody hypodermic needle was found on the sidewalk on Meernaa Avenue.

Hit and Run: Someone hit a “No Parking” sign and knocked it down on Meernaa Avenue.

Suspicious Circumstances: A resident reported that it appeared someone had come into their property on Oak Road and damaged the hedges.

Animal: A neighbor’s dogs regularly get loose and come into a resident’s yard on Mono Avenue.

Miscellaneous Service: A resident wanted to speak with an officer about unwanted texts she’d been receiving.

Animal: A resident had a rattlesnake on her front deck on Cascade Drive.

Suspicious Person: A subject was climbing utility poles with a utility belt at Sir Francis Drake Boulevard and Suffield Avenue and posting political signs.

Juvenile: A resident’s daughter left at 10:07 p.m. without permission and the dog was barking. The resident thinks it was a boy who came to the window and got their daughter.

Noise: Loud music was coming from the school on Porteous Avenue at 10:23 p.m.

Friday, Oct. 14

Suspicious Person: A subject was acting oddly on Dominga Avenue and was walking down the street talking to himself.

Shots Fired: A resident heard what sounded like a gunshot in the area of Cascade Drive at 8:59 a.m.

Harassing Phone Call: A resident at Frog’s was receiving harassing phone calls.

Suspicious Circumstances: People at the far end of the Marin Town and Country Club yelling and screaming at 5:21 p.m.

Noise: There was loud music from a wedding party at Deer Park Villa at 7:43 p.m. It’s an ongoing problem.

Alcohol Violation: An officer initiated activity at the Mono lot with two people at 8:25 p.m. A subject was cited for an alcohol violation.
