Fairfax Police: Coyotes, Injury Hit and Run, Fight

Thursday, Sept. 8

Animal: Coyotes were barking in the distance of the Cascade Canyon area at 2:33 a.m.

Suspicious Vehicle: An officer initiated activity at the post office at 2:56 a.m.

Accident – Minor Injury: There was a minor collision between a cyclist and car at the Fairfax Theater at 7:58 a.m.

Suspicious Circumstances: There are ongoing complaints of violations, including strange fumes and people living storage sheds on Willow Avenue at 11:22 a.m.

Theft: Fuel was stolen from a gas tank in a car the night before at the Children’s Center.

Traffic: Assistance was needed for a traffic jam at the Parkade at 3:12 p.m.

Barking Dog: A dog was barking for 35 minutes on Scenic Road.

Hazard: There was a possible broken water main on Wood Lane at 6:48 p.m.

Wednesday, Sept. 7

Probation Violation: An officer responded to a noise complaint on Pine Drive at 12:54 a.m. and a subject was arrested for a probation violation.

Found: An iPhone was found on the bleachers at the ball field and turned in.

Disturbance: There was a physical fight outside The Sleeping Lady at 10:04 p.m. and an arrest was made.

Tuesday, Sept. 6

Sleeper: An officer initiated activity at the Women’s Club at 1:10 a.m.

Animal: A resident’s cat was killed by two dogs over the weekend on Canyon Road.

Stolen Vehicle: A resident’s car was missing from its location at Inyo and Pacheco Avenues at 9:46 a.m.

Accident – No Injury: A resident’s car was hit sometime during the night on Meernaa Avenue.

Garbage: A neighbor dumps items into a resident’s driveway on Frustuck Avenue at 10:18 a.m.

Sleeper: There was a large RV on Canyon Road with people sleeping in it.

Hit and Run: A sheriff’s officer was out with a possible felony hit and run at the Bank of America at 3:19 p.m. There was an injury.
