Fairfax Police: Domestic Violence, Fridge Stolen, Dog Bites

The following information was provided by the Fairfax Police Department. It does not indicate conviction.

This is a selection of the police calls reported to the from Nov. 14 to 17. Police logs are public record and are available on the police department's website.

Thursday, Nov. 17

Suspicious Circumstances: An officer observed a subject running from the area of School Street Plaza at 12:31 a.m.

Drug Violation: An officer initiated activity on Broadway Avenue at 3:32 a.m. and an arrest was made.

Domestic Violence: A woman was crying and screaming at the Sherwood Oaks Apartments at 6:49 a.m. It was determined the incident was verbal only.

Accident – No Injury: A resident reported being in a minor accident on westbound Sir Francis Drake Boulevard before Marinda Drive.

Burglary: Someone stole a fridge out of an unoccupied residence on Live Oak Avenue.

Theft: Scrap metal was stolen on Willow Avenue.

Vandalism: A subject threw a rock at a car, damaging the windshield, on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 1:26 p.m.

Suspicious Circumstances: Two “official-looking” subjects were wandering around Peri Park and the tennis courts taking pictures at 2:35 p.m.

Accident – No Injury: The parties were out of the cars that were in a collision on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 5:59 p.m.

Animal: A large dog was roaming near Good Earth aimlessly at 9:49 p.m.

Wednesday, Nov. 16

Assault: There was an unknown problem at a residence on Pine Drive at 2:15 a.m. Dispatch couldn’t make out what the caller was saying. An arrest was made.

Domestic Violence: Officers abated a domestic violence incident on Redwood Road at 8:25 p.m. An arrest was made.

Tuesday, Nov. 15

Suspicious Vehicle: An officer initiated activity in the Mono parking lot at 11:02 a.m.

Suspicious Vehicle: An officer initiated activity on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard and issued a verbal warning at 11:24 a.m.

Animal: A small, white dog bit someone at Bolinas Road and Broadway Avenue at 2:42 p.m. and was at large.

Citizen Assist: A resident requested assistance on child abuse.

Domestic Violence: A domestic violence incident occurred earlier in the day on Willow Avenue and the woman wanted to file a report.

Suspicious Circumstances: Several shots were heard in the hillside area above Sequoia Road at 10:30 p.m.

Monday, Nov. 14

Hit and Run: A resident was involved in a hit and run at Saunders and San Anselmo Avenues at 10:11 a.m. and the car was last seen turning into the movie theater.

Juvenile: A nine-year-old was refusing to come inside Manor School at 1:03 p.m.

Citizen Assist: A resident was walking home from school with his daughter when a woman almost hit them in her car at Scenic and Manor Roads. He asked her what she was doing and she drove her car at them and then turned around and sped off.

Theft: A resident’s bike was stolen from the Sherwood Oak Apartments sometime over the weekend.

Theft: A resident claimed many things had been stolen from him on Pine Drive. It was determined to be unfounded.
