Fairfax Police: Drunk Driver Crashes into Cars on Cascade Drive, Hillside Bulldozed without Owner's Knowledge

Sunday, Oct. 17

Suspicious Vehicle: There was a suspicious car at the Parkade at 1:12 a.m.

Noise: Subjects were in the street with a loud ghetto blaster at Bolinas Road and Mono Avenue at 1:18 a.m.

Driving Under the Influence: Residents on Cypress Avenue and Cascade Drive was woken up by a loud noise at 2:25 a.m. They heard a horn honk then. Officers responded and contacted a driver, who had had an accident and was leaving the scene. The driver was arrested for a DUI.

Hit and Run: There was a hit and run with property damage at Cascade and Laurel Drive and another one on Cascade Drive. They were both related to the previous DUI arrest.

Barking Dog: A dog was barking for over an hour on Cascade Drive at 5:57 a.m. and then the other dogs in the neighborhood started barking too.

Theft: Three mountain bikes and some tools were stolen from Toyon Drive sometime Friday evening or Saturday morning.

Sleeper: There was someone sleeping outside the Fat Angel Bakery at 11:03 p.m.

Saturday, Oct. 16

Unwanted Subject: There was an unwanted subject at a party at the Women's Club at 1:21 p.m.

Unwanted Subject: A resident on Hillside Drive just terminated an employee at 2:20 p.m., who was refusing to leave the premise.

Welfare Check: A five-year-old boy ran his bike into a parked truck at the Shady Brooks Apartments at 3:39 p.m. A resident helped the boy home, but there was no one home.

Suspicious Circumstances: Construction equipment was parked at a residence that had burned on Valley Road at 3:51 p.m. The fence was cut and the hillside bulldozed without the owner's knowledge or consent.

Hit and Run: A resident's rental car was hit by an unknown car at the Fairfax Market.

Town Code Violation: A subject was cited for an open container violation at the ballfield at 6:42 p.m.

Welfare Check: A resident on Live Oak Avenue requested a welfare check on a neighbor's welfare after what sounded like a fight at 6:55 p.m.

Juvenile Problem: A group of juveniles was hanging out in the street on Merwin Avenue harassing passersby at 10:16 p.m.
