Fairfax Police: Houses Egged, Mysterious Caller ID, Bike Stolen

The following information was provided by the Fairfax Police Department. It does not indicate conviction.

The following is a selection of calls made to the from Nov. 18 to 20. The police logs are public record and available on the department's website.

Sunday, Nov. 20

Welfare Check: A tea kettle was sounding on Live Oak Avenue for ten minutes at 3:10 a.m. The resident wouldn’t answer the door. Officers determined the resident was asleep.

Suspicious Circumstances: A resident received a suspicious spam email and wanted it documented.

Suspicious Circumstances: A resident hear a loud gunshot sound in the area of Bothin Road at 6:56 p.m., but nothing out of the ordinary was found.

Suspicious Circumstances: A landlord of an apartment complex on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard reported that his tenants reported they heard noises from inside a complex where the resident was known to be gone around 9:30 p.m.

Saturday, Nov. 19

Driving without a License: An officer initiated activity on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 12:15 a.m. and a citation was issued.

Vandalism: A resident reported their house was egged sometime during the nighton Porteous Avenue.

Driving Under the Influence: An officer initiated activity on Center Boulevard at 2:26 a.m. and an arrest was made.

Vandalism: A resident reported his garage was egged sometime during the night on Creek Road.

Noise: An event at the Pavilion was very loud at 5:41 p.m.

Barking Dog: A resident reported her neighbor’s dog was barking on Azalea Avenue at 9:16 p.m. and may be in distress from having no shelter from the rain. An officer found the dog quiet and not in distress.

Citizen Assist: A resident was out walking in the rain and came in to the police department for assistance and to ask to call his wife and have her pick him up.

Suspicious Circumstances: A resident reported that an unknown person has been calling people and leaving the resident’s phone number on caller id, but the call’s weren’t made from the resident’s phone. People called him back and at least one was angry.

Drug Violation: A resident found something strange that he thinks might be drugs on Crescent Circle.

Friday, Nov. 18

Insanity Case: A subject on Crescent Circle was place on a 72-hour hold at Marin General.

Assist Outside Agency: A woman believed she was being followed by her sister’s abusive ex at Manor and Marin Roads and was headed towards the Fairfax Police Department.

Warrant Criminal: Officers arrested a subject who had an outstanding warrant at the Creekside Apartments at 9:25 a.m.

Harassing Phone Calls: A resident reported a subject was making numerous harassing phone calls to him and others.

Accident – No Injury: There was a crash on Bolinas Road at 10:50 a.m.

Suspicious Circumstances: A resident reported a possible drug violation at White Hill Middle School.

Suspicious Circumstances: A resident called to express concern about a woman on a bicycle on Center Boulevard.

Theft: An unlocked bike was stolen on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard sometime between 6 p.m. the day before and 3 p.m. Friday.

Unwanted Subject: A resident reported a man was passed out in his driveway on Claus Circle at 9:07 p.m. He did not meet the criteria for public drunkenness.

Theft: Two laptops were stolen on Azalea Avenue.
