Fairfax Police: Juveniles Dressed in Black, Dead Deer, Burglaries

Friday, Sept. 23

With Subjects: An officer initiated activity with a car in front of the Oak Manor 7-11 at 1:22 a.m.

Public Intoxication: An officer initiated activity on Broadway Avenue at 1:40 a.m.

Found: A bike was chained in front of the Youth Center for six months. The lock was cut and the bike brought in to the police station for safekeeping.

Suspicious Person: A person claiming to be a solicitor came to a resident’s door at the Sherwood Oaks Apartments the day before. No other tenants had a solicitor come to their door, however.

Assault: A resident was assaulted a few days earlier.

Suspicious Circumstances: A girl and boy were yelling for a few minutes on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 4:44 p.m. An officer determined it was kids playing.

Animal: A resident reported that she heard pitbulls killing something on Scenic Road around 9 a.m.

Disturbance: An officer initiated activity at Peri’s at 8:44 p.m.

Barking Dog: There were two complaints of a dog barking on Willow Avenue.

Noise: Subjects were gathering at 7-11 at 9:59 p.m. and making a lot of noise.

Disturbance: A subject’s ex swung at a resident at Robinhood Manor Apartments at 10:05 p.m.

Saturday, Sept. 24

Suspicious Vehicle: An officer initiated activity with a vehicle on Broadway Avenue at 3:11 a.m.

Animal: There was a dog in a hot car with the windows rolled mostly up in front of Ringseis Designs at 2:43 p.m.

Noise: There was loud amplified music being played outdoors at Peri’s at 4:10 p.m.

Fire: There was a fire on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 4:12 p.m.

Traffic Complaint: There was a report of a reckless driver crossing the center line on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard near White’s Hill at 4:15 p.m.

Noise: There were three complaints of the music at Peri’s being too loud at 5:26 p.m. One resident wanted an officer to come to her house first with a decibel meter.

Noise: There was loud music at the Pavilion at 5:34 p.m.

Animal: A deer was hit by a car on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard, near Mitchell Drive, at 8:12 p.m.

Suspicious Circumstances: Two juveniles, dressed all in black, hid from a resident as she drove by at Azalea Avenue and Spruce Road at 10:47 p.m.

Sunday, Sept. 25

Suspicious Vehicle: An officer initiated activity at the Fairfax Community Church at 12:13 a.m.

Suspicious Vehicle: An officer initiated activity at the post office at 1:47 a.m.

Juveniles: Multiple juveniles were screaming profanities at passersby on Claus Drive at 2:12 a.m.

Disturbance: A resident reported her son was “out of control” and she was afraid he would physically harm her on Piper Court at 5:10 a.m.

Found: A pair of glasses were found in the park.

Animal: There was a dead deer on the sidewalk at Christ the Victor Lutheran.

Unwanted Subject: An unknown person was about to dump trash at the Robinhood Manor Apartments at 2:07 p.m.

Disturbance: A resident’s daughter had a problem with a neighbor over parking on Meernaa Avenue.

Found: A Honda key was turned in.

Warrant Criminal: An officer initiated activity at Fairfax Hair Design and an arrest was made at 7:07 p.m.

Disturbance: There was a disturbance between two male subjects at Fair-Anselm at 7:15 p.m.

Animal: An anonymous resident reported that she hit a deer on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard, at Sherman Court, and it was still alive.

Monday, Sept. 26

With Subjects: An officer initiated activity in the Broadway parking lot with two subjects at 12:18 a.m.

With Subjects: An officer initiated activity with a down subject on Belle Avenue at 12:22 a.m.

Suspicious Vehicle: There was an unoccupied suspicious vehicle at Rino Gas at 1:16 a.m.

Suspicious Vehicle: An officer initiated activity at Day Caring Preschool at 5:08 a.m.

Noise: There was loud noise in the area of the Fairfax Coin Car Wash at 6:04 a.m.

Barking Dog: A dog was barking on Frustuck for an hour.

Theft: There was a burglary at Deer Park over the weekend.

Found: A bag with personal belongings was found downtown.

Hazard: The stop sign at Meadow Way and Cascade Drive was turned upside down.

Accident – Non-Injury: A car rolled away from its parking spot on Willow Avenue and hit a neighbor’s fence at 6:21 p.m.

Vandalism: Multiple trees were reported uprooted from the Charter Oaks Apartments. The complaint was unfounded.

Theft: Approximately $50 worth of clothes was stolen from the Robinhood Manor Apartments.

Suspicious Circumstances: A woman was heard screaming for help on Meadow Way at 10:19 p.m.
