Fairfax Police: Kids Fighting, Ferret Found, Knife Pulled

Sunday, Nov. 6

Disturbance: Six kids were in the road on Olema Road getting ready to fight at 1:15 a.m.

Public Intoxication: An officer observed a person who appeared intoxicated by the Youth Center at 1:46 a.m. An arrest was made.

Probation Violation: A subject was in violation of his probation at the Pavilion at 11:47 a.m.

Probation Violation: A subject was in violation of his probation at the School Street Plaza at 12:45 p.m.

Disturbance: A resident reported a possible verbal disturbance down the street from his house on Pine Drive at 4:20 p.m. A woman was arguing with herself.

Suspicious Person: A man was panhandling by Ghiringhelli’s Pizza at 4:41 p.m.

Suspicious Person: An officer initiated activity at the School Street Plaza at 5:08 p.m.

Animal: A resident found a ferret at St. Rita’s at 9:58 p.m. and asked the Humane be notified.

Saturday, Nov. 5

Theft: A friend’s bike was stolen from Mono parking lot. The cable lock was cut.

Tree Cut: Two large bay trees were being cut down on Lansdale Avenue.

Juveniles: Three juveniles were on bikes at the top of the undeveloped property between Fairfax Market and the vet clinic.

Driving Under the Influence: There was a possible DUI driver eastbound on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 6:24 p.m. Officers contacted the driver, who was not DUI, but was having trouble seeing through the rain.

Storm-Related: Where Creek Road makes a turn, there was a culvert backing up.

Friday, Nov. 4

Noise: There was loud live music coming from Peri’s at 1:06 a.m.

Unwanted Subject: A resident’s ex-boyfriend was refusing to leave on Dominga Avenue.

Suspicious Circumstances: A resident found a dead bird on his property on Ridgeway Avenue. He was concerned because it looked like someone’s pet.

Juvenile: A resident reported his wife was out talking to two juveniles who were climbing on their fence on Scenic Road.

Burglary: An unknown person entered a home on Willow Road and took items.

Noise: Live music was being played on Peri’s outdoor patio.

Disturbance: A resident was in her bedroom and her adult son was trying to force his way in on Porteous Avenue.

Barking Dog: A dog was barking for the second night in a row on Bolinas Road.

Suspicious Circumstances: A subject was parked directly in front of a resident’s house on Canyon Road for over half an hour. Officers contacted the occupants of the car, who were having a conversation.

Public Intoxication: A resident was involved in a verbal dispute with a man in Fairfax Park, who subsequently brandished a pocket knife. He was booked into the county jail.
