Fairfax Police Log: Woman Followed to Home by Unknown Driver

Thursday, October 27

Noise Complaint:  At 7:10 a.m. a complaint was received by a woman who said she can hear numerous trucks backing up at the Albertson’s on Center Boulevard in Fairfax, in violation of the town’s allowed construction start time.  Responsible parties were advised of the complaint.

Traffic Complaint:  The caller wanted to speak with an officer regarding an ongoing problem with congestion on Toyon and Oak Road.  The caller is upset by people’s lack of regard for others when parking and driving in the area.  Extra patrol was placed in the area.

Tree Cut Complaint:  On Frustuck Avenue in Fairfax, the reporting party complained of a tree being removed without a permit or business license.  It turned out there was an emergency tree permit and the business did have a license.

Public Intoxication:  At Parkade on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard an adult, Hispanic male was asked to leave the bus because a female passenger accused him of reaching into her purse.  Subject appeared inebriated.  An arrest was made at 3:05 p.m.

Suspicious Circumstances: On Sherman Court in Fairfax, a subject in a Honda Element followed a woman in her vehicle from San Rafael to her home in Fairfax and pulled up behind her when she parked at her residence.  Advice was given.

Hazard: At 8 p.m. a man was reported walking aimlessly in the middle of the roadway on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at San Miguel in Fairfax.  He was described as a white male, possibly in his 40’s, tall and wearing tan pants.  Officer determined the subject had dropped a newspaper in the crosswalk and was picking it up.

Noise Complaint:  At 10 p.m. a noise complaint occurred on School Road in Fairfax regarding loud live music.  The responsible party agreed to turn down the volume for the rest of the band practice and for future practices.

 

Wednesday, October 26

Driving Under the Influence:  An officer initiated activity at Center Boulevard and San Anselmo Avenue at 1:54 a.m. An arrest was made.

Drug Violation: Report of a subject smoking marijuana in the area at Parkade on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 3:18 p.m.  The subject was gone on arrival.

Welfare Check:  At 3:30 p.m. police were asked to check on the welfare of two siblings at the Creekside Apartments on Sir Francis Drake Blvd. when they did not show up for school.  Advice was given.

Disturbance:  A landlord got into a verbal argument with his tenant at 5:49 p.m. and requested to speak with an officer for advice.

 

Tuesday, October 25

Traffic Complaint:  An anonymous report at 6:38 a.m. of a reckless driver of a silver Ford Expedition on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard from White’s Hill.  Driver passed the reporting party over a double yellow line and was speeding.  The subject was gone on arrival.

Citizen Assist: A citizen on Westbrae Drive in Fairfax asked for assistance in the disposal of a weapon.

Meet the Citizen:  A reporting party wanted to speak with an officer of the Fairfax PD to see if they could receive traffic control help during a toy run in December.  Advice was given.

Noise Complaint: Report of live music coming from one of the offices in the building on School Road in Fairfax.  The subject was given a verbal warning.
