Fairfax Police Logs: House Vandalized, Scam, and Public Intoxication

The following is a selection of police activities reported by the from Nov. 7 to 10. The information is public and can be found on the department's website.

Monday, Nov. 7

Suspicious Circumstances: A resident installed an alarm at her home after a recent bike theft and the alarm went off on Forrest Avenue at 2:31 a.m. and she found the door to be ajar.

Found Property: A resident found a wallet in the creek on Pacheco Avenue.

Barking Dog: A dog barking on Sequoia Road has been an ongoing problem.

Vandalism: A resident wanted to speak to an officer about his house being vandalized on Pine Drive.

Town Code Violation: Numerous campaign signs were posted on town property b the Parkade steps.

Driving Under the Influence: An extreme DUI was reported driving all over the road on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard westbound from the high school at 7:40 p.m. Officers determined it was unfounded.

Suspicious Circumstances: An unknown person just tried to open a resident’s front door on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 10:30 p.m.

Public Intoxication: An unwanted man was refusing to leave The Sleeping Lady at 10:50 p.m. and an arrest was made.

Tuesday, Nov. 8

Lost/Stolen: A resident reported his car’s front license plate has either fallen off or been stolen.

Suspicious Vehicle: An officer initiated activity on Olema Road at 3:38 p.m.

Suspicious Vehicle: An officer initiated activity at Spruce and Park Road at 3:53 p.m.

Wednesday, Nov. 9

Public Intoxication: There was a report of an extremely drunk man at the rear of Nave’s at 2:40 a.m. An arrest was made.

Citizen Assist: A resident dropped his kids off at Manor School Tuesday and his ex-wife signed their son out of school, unbeknownst to him, and has not been able to contact either since.

Suspicious Person: A man was peering into houses and cars on Willow Avenue at 11:05 a.m.

Hit and Run: A resident went out to his car in front of St. Rita’s Thrift Shop to find it badly damaged at 3:09 p.m.

Animal: A car hit a deer on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 5:30 p.m.

Suspicious Circumstances: Two subjects were in a BMW station wagon at Redwood and Scenic Roads at 10:24 p.m., acting suspiciously.

Thursday, Nov. 10

Burglary: A resident reported her residence on Manor Road was burglarized sometime in the last two days.

Assist: A resident was stuck in an elevator on Tamalpais Road at 9:43 a.m.

Suspicious Person: A man was possibly soliciting money on Bank Street at 12:13 p.m.

Found: An economic textbook was left in the 7-11.

Suspicious Circumstances: A subject came into a business on Broadway Avenue at 6:59 p.m. and said he was raising money for autism. A resident made a donation and asked for a receipt. He said he would go to his car and get one, but never came back.

Smart Meter Complaint: A PG&E truck filled with Smart Meters at Pastori and Lansdale Avenues at 9:16 p.m.

Noise: There was a loud live band on School Street at 10:13 p.m.
