Fairfax Police Logs: Report of Man Drinking Beer from Cans in Peri Park.

Logs from Aug. 8 - Aug. 11. Arrest does not indicate conviction.

Aug. 11

Found Property: Reporting party brought in a key on a lanyard found at the Farmer’s Market. Property was returned to owner.

Alcohol Violation: A subject who was cited just yesterday is by the bocce ball courts drinking from beer cans at Peri Park. A citation was issued.

Found Property: A person found a wallet in the downtown area on Bolinas Road and Broadway and turned it into the police department.

Vandalism: Report of an ex-boyfriend attempting to forcibly enter the apartment on Sir Francis Drake Blvd. in Fairfax. Subject was arrested and booked to Marin County Jail.

Suspicious Circumstances: Patron of the Quality Liquors on Sir Francis Drake Blvd. feels threatened by the employee behind the counter.  A verbal warning was given by officers.

Aug. 10

Welfare Check: Officers checked on the welfare of a subject who was acting oddly in the police lobby at 2:01 a.m.

Sleeper: Report of a subject sleeping atop the field buildings at Rudy Conratti Field on Bank Street. The subject was given a verbal warning.

Alcohol Violation: Two subjects reported drinking beer and smoking at 10:26 a.m. at Fair Anselm Plaza were cited for possession of open alcohol containers and released.

Found Property: Anonymous bicyclist found a belt in the Town Hall bathroom and turned it into the Fairfax police department for safekeeping.

Lost/Stolen: Reporting party’s son lost his set of keys while at the Farmer’s Market at 6:13 p.m.

Suspicous Person: A male with brown straight hair, walking a black dog towards down is reported swearing and yelling at the world in general as he walks at 7:51 p.m.  The responsible party was advised of the complaint.

Theft: Reporting party said a hedge trimmer and some rebar were taken from his property on Toyon Drive.

Battery: At 10:51 p.m. reporting party said her neighbor came over to escape an argument with his roommate. The roommate followed and escalated the disturbance.  Roomate was arrested for battery, aggravated trespass and public intoxication and booked into Marin County Jail.

Aug. 9

Assist Outside Agency: While in route to another detail at 1:06 a.m., officers located a minor injury accident in an unicorporated jurisdiction. Medical and CHP dispatch was advised and the officers remained on the scene at Sir Francis Drake Blvd. at Shadow Creek to assist.

Found Property: At 6:28 a.m. an anonymous party turned in a cell phone he found in an alley on Dominga Ave.

Lost/Stolen: A report was taken of a stolen bicycle that occurred several months ago on Cypress Drive.

Suspicious Person: A reporting party reports a man acting suspicously, who appears to be very angry at School and Park Road.  Disposition: Unfounded.

Shots Fired: Someone reported hearing what sounded like numerous shots fired at the end of Pine Drive between 8 p.m. and 8:10 p.m.

Aug. 8

Abandoned Vehicle: Anonymous complaint of a white Toyota pickup with a lumber rack on it parked in excess of 72 hours on Maple Ave. at Willow Ave.

Vehicle Accident – Non Injury:  Officer-initiated activity at Park Road and Merwin Ave at 3:58 p.m. Officer reported a non-injury vehicle damage with some property damage.  Driver is leaving their information and taking pictures.

Found Property: An anonymous party found some keys on Lansdale Ave. in Fairfax and turned them in to the police department.

Theft: Reporting party said her daughter’s bike was stolen sometime over the last three months.

Animal Complaint/Problem Misc: A reporting party’s dog bit a passerby and reported that an argument ensued over it. The problem occurred on Meernaa Ave. in Fairfax at 5:27 p.m.

Major Injury Accident: A major injury accident involving a motorcyclist down, over the side of the embankment occurred on Bolinas Road at 5:59 p.m.

Town Code Violation: Reporting party said a group of people were in Peri Park after dark. Responsibles were advised of the complaint.
