Fairfax Police: Parties, Many Bikes Stolen, Unreported Burglary

The following information was provided by the Fairfax Police Department. It does not indicate conviction.

Sunday, Sept. 11

Suspicious Circumstances: A resident heard a loud crash, which sounded like a car accident, on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 12:36 a.m.

Assist Outside Agency: Officers assisted Ross Valley Fire at Fairfax Inn at 12:41 a.m.

Noise: Subjects gathered in the parking lot across from Fairfax Lumber at 1:08 a.m. and played music.

Noise: Subjects were yelling, possibly at a party, at 2:42 a.m. on Frustuck Avenue.

Civil Problem: A landlord reported that a tenant agreed to move out on Pine Drive the night before, but is not abiding by the agreement.

Town Code Violation: Officers abated skateboarders from the tennis courts.

Welfare Check: A child was placed in a pickup truck at Bolinas Road and Elsie Lane 20 minutes earlier.

Theft: A resident’s mountain bike was stolen outside Fair-Anselm at 6:40 p.m. and she saw a man riding it towards Fairfax.

Noise: There was loud music coming from a capoeira group at the ballfield at 8:09 p.m.

Driving on a Suspended License: An officer initiated activity at Sir Francis Drake Boulevard and Pastori Avenue at 9:14 p.m. and a citation was issued. 

Saturday, Sept. 10

Animal: A resident wanted to talk to an officer about vicious dogs. She was concerned that dogs at the Marin Alliance could get out of their fence.

Welfare Check: A resident wanted a welfare check on someone who sounded like they might have overdosed. They didn’t know the person’s full name or address.

Disturbance: A neighbor was throwing a resident’s things around the parking space on Piper Court at 2:58 p.m.

Theft: A bike was locked onto a bike rack of a car at Fair-Anselm and the cable was cut and bike stolen.

Theft: A bike locked with a cable lock was stolen at the Parkade at 3:40 p.m.

Theft: A resident’s bike was stolen on Center Boulevard.

Theft: An unlocked bike was stolen outside the Library.

Disturbance: A subject was yelling at tenants on Pine Drive at 7:56 p.m., but doesn’t seem intoxicated.

Barking Dog: A dog was barking on Oak Road for an hour.

Disturbance: A resident was in a verbal altercation that started with being shoved at the Robinhood Manor Apartments at 10:43 p.m.

Friday, Sept. 9

Warrant Criminal: An officer initiated activity at China Village and an arrest was made at 1:50 a.m.

Animal: A resident’s dog bit someone on Glen Drive at 9:58 a.m.

Unwanted Subject: A man came to a resident’s door on Maiden Lane, but he refused to open it at 12:58 p.m.

Welfare Check: A resident at Bolinas Road and Broadway Avenue appeared fearful and claimed he was a victim of an unreported robbery outside the Rite-Aid in San Rafael.

Animal: There was a loose dog on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard and was going back and forth at 3:46 p.m.

Unwanted Subject: A subject was reported cursing and smelled like he was possibly intoxicated on Willow Avenue at 4:21 p.m.

Juveniles: Three juveniles on bikes were riding down a steep hill near the Fair-Anselm parking lot at 7:02 p.m.

Disturbance: There was a report of an eight against one verbal altercation at the Java Hut and one person had already been pushed to the ground at 9:28 p.m.

Noise: There was a possible party on Bothin Road at 9:30 p.m.
