Fairfax Police: Pitbull Loose, Kids Looking for Cell Phone in Manhole, Explosion Sound

Thursday, June 2

Accident – Non-Injury: There was a car accident on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 12:11 p.m.

Barking Dog: A dog was barking on Pine Drive for an hour.

Vandalism: A subject cut up and poured out four bags of soil a resident had in their front yard on Taylor Drive.

Suspicious Vehicle: An officer initiated activity at Deer Park School at 9:50 p.m.

Wednesday, June 1

Unwanted Subject: Kids were out on the field yelling at 12:33 a.m.

Insanity Case: A resident was screaming and crying on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 2:04 a.m.

Barking Dog: A resident was woken up by a dog barking on Madrone Road at 5:50 a.m.

Animal: A pitbull was running loosen Scenic Road at 10:29 a.m.

Suspicious Circumstances: A resident said he heard what sounded like an explosion and felt the ground shake on Belle Avenue at 1:33 p.m. Other residents said it came from the construction area, where they dropped something heavy.

Town Code Violation: An officer contacted three subjects at Peri Park, who were warned for violation of open containers, at 4:42 p.m.

Theft: A resident’s bike was stolen from outside her residence at Marin Town and Country Club between May 28 and June 1.

Suspicious Vehicle: An officer initiated activity at Fairfax Lumber at 11:14 p.m. The car had broken down.

Tuesday, May 30

Suspicious Circumstances: A resident saw four male juveniles who appeared to be trying to pull up a manhole or drain cover by the side of the road at Cascade Drive and Bolinas Road at 4:04 p.m. They were attempting to retrieve a cell phone that had fallen in and replaced the cover.
