Fairfax Police: Possible Fire, DUI, Gravel Spill

Saturday, Dec. 10

Driving on a Suspended License: An officer initiated activity at Sir Francis Drake Boulevard and Olema at 12:31 a.m. and a subject was cited for driving with a suspended license.

Driving Under the Influence: A subject was arrested for a DUI on Center Boulevard at 1:43 a.m.

Attempt to Contact: There was a request that an adult be notified his juvenile son was arrested by another police department at 2:39 a.m.

With Subjects: An officer initiated activity at the 7-11 and conducted a probation search at 3:56 a.m. No violations were found.

Vandalism: There was vandalism to a car on San Gabriel Drive.

Probation Violation: An intoxicated and verbally abusive subject was walking down Bolinas Road at 11:53 a.m. Officers determined the subject did not meet the criteria for public intoxication, but was in violation of probation terms.

Citizen Assist: There was a request that an officer contact a subject in Fairfax Park who has been harassing a resident via email and ask the subject to stop.

Fire: There was smoke in a house on Wreden Avenue and the resident thought it smelled like an electric fire at 5:03 p.m.

Driving Under the Influence: A resident flagged down an officer at Willow Avenue and Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 5:36 p.m. and reported a hit and run by a possible DUI driver.

Fireworks: There were multiple calls of fireworks from different locations. Other police departments received similar calls, indicating the fireworks were further east.  It’s possibly related to a boat parade in the bay.

Friday, Dec. 9

Traffic Complaint: A truck on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard was spilling gravel at 10:07 a.m.

Suspicious Circumstances: A resident heard something rustling around on Meernaa Avenue at 6:47 p.m. and then heard breaking glass and possibly a man’s voice. There was an attempted break-in next door three months ago.

Prowler: A resident on Madrone Road saw her motion-detector light go on and off and then saw a flashlight moving around her driveway.

Miscellaneous: A resident called and reported that a friend had called claiming they were about to jump off the Golden Gate Bridge at 10:07 p.m.
