Fairfax Police: Public intoxication, disturbances, warrant criminal arrested

Friday, Aug. 27

Insanity Case: Officers checked on a man who was seen hitting himself in the face and wandering in and out of the road in front of the bus stop by St. Rita's at 7:08 a.m.

Miscellaneous: There was a lot of water rushing down the street on Cypress Drive at 11:43 a.m. The Fire Department was flushing hydrants.

Disturbance: There was a road rage incident on Center Boulevard in San Anselmo, heading into Fairfax at 3:34 p.m.

Welfare Check: A resident said he had been trying to reach his girlfriend on her cell phone and her home phone. The call to the home phone was going through, but no one picked up and it sounded like there was a commotion in the background at 4:20 p.m. The call was cancelled, because he was able to get a hold of his girlfriend.

Domestic Violence/Disturbance: There was an anonymous report of a couple arguing and what sounds like slapping at 5:42 p.m.

Unwanted Subject: A group of 8-10 juveniles off of Rocca Drive loitering and making noise at 11:13 p.m.

Public Intoxication: A man was arrested for meth and alcohol at Peri's Silver Dollar at 11:15 p.m.

Thursday, Aug. 26

Suspicious Circumstances: There were some subjects loitering in front of a residence on Forrest Avenue at 1:32 a.m. When the resident walked out to see what they were doing, they ran away.

Hit and Run: A car was damaged on Tamalpais Road over the night.

Citizen Assist: A resident's colleague was shopping at Culture Shock at 2:15 p.m. when the employee left and locked her inside.

Reckless Driver: There was a traffic dispute with an aggressive driver on Cascade Drive at 3:08 p.m. The resident advised that the other driver was tailgating, honking, and swearing.

Barking Dog: A dog on Madrone Avenue had been barking for hours. The resident wanted the dog owner notified that if the barking continues he will sign a citizen's arrest.

Suspicious Person: A woman was camped out on the sidewalk in front of Peri's Silver Dollar at 5:33 p.m. with a bunch of sticks and other items spread out blocking passage.

Shots Fired: Shots were heard at Bolinas Road and Mono Avenue at 5:38 p.m., but the call was determined to be outside the Fairfax jurisdiction.

Theft: Someone stole a package off the doorstep of a residence on Scenic Road, opened it and stole property from it.

Unwanted Subject: A subject in front of Peri's Silver Dollar at 7:37 p.m, annoying patrons and playing music loudly. Officers abated him from the area.

Warrant Criminal: There was a verbal disturbance on Pine Drive at 7:54 p.m. with someone yelling profanities and threatening to call the police. Officers determined one of the parties involved had an arrest warrant out.

Unwanted Subject: A man was in front of Iron Springs singing and playing a guitar at 8:24 p.m.

Disturbance: There was a report of a lot of obscenities being screamed and a woman threatening to kill a man on Oak Road at 9:16 p.m.

Suspicious Circumstances: An unknown subject tried to insert a key in the lock of a resident's house on Cascade Drive at 10:38 p.m.
