Fairfax Police: Suspicious Craigslist Delivery, DUIs, Threats

The following information was provided by the Fairfax Police Department. It does not indicate conviction.

Monday, Oct. 10 

Insanity Case: A resident reported that her mother and father were in a physical altercation on Chester Avenue at 8:45 a.m.

Animal: A deer was stuck in the front gate on Live Oak Avenue at 8:51 a.m.

Citizen Assist: An assistant manager at the Good Earth wanted advice on dealing with an unruly customer.

Disturbance: There was a physical altercation between a group of juveniles at the Java Hut at 2:58 p.m.

Disturbance: A resident and his wife had a verbal altercation on Hillside Drive.

Suspicious Circumstances: A resident bought a dryer off craigslist. When two subjects arrived with the dryer in a U-Haul, they both appeared intoxicated.

Suspicious Person: A man was saying inappropriate things to passersby on School Street at 6:29 p.m.

Theft: A resident’s boyfriend stole $50 from her as he left the night before.

Tuesday, Oct. 11

Suspicious Circumstances: A resident on Toyon Drive reported that her caregiver didn’t show up, which is unusual.

Noise: There were several subjects in the creek at the rear of Pacheco Avenue being loud and possibly drinking at 3:04 a.m.

Suspicious Circumstances: A subject was inside Cascade Canyon School at 6:31 a.m.

Driving Under the Influence: There was a car in between Fairfax Market and St. Rita’s School at 11:46 a.m. with a woman inside it slumped over and barely able to speak. An arrest was made.

Disturbance: There was a verbal altercation between a resident and roommate on Pine Drive.

Animal: There were a number of calls about a car hitting a dog at June Court and Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 7:41 p.m.

Noise: A resident’s roommate would not turn down the music on Pine Drive at 8:38 p.m. 

Wednesday, Oct. 12

Town Code Violation: Several campaign signs were up in Doc Edgar Park.

Sleeper: There was someone sleeping in Peri Park at 3:12 a.m.

Disturbance: There was a verbal altercation between a resident and roommate on Pine Drive at 7:58 a.m.

Suspicious Vehicle: An officer initiated activity at Rino Gas at 10:15 a.m. and a citation was issued.

Threats: A resident reported receiving threats from a neighbor at the Creekside Apartments.

Suspicious Circumstances: A subject was in the Deer Park parking lot acting suspiciously, then went into the school.

Disturbance: There was a verbal altercation between two subjects at the police department at 4:43 p.m.

Noise: A band was practicing on Taylor Drive at 8:24 p.m.

Thursday, Oct. 13

Animal: A resident has ongoing problem with her neighbor’s dogs escaping on Mono Avenue.

Driving without a License: At a traffic stop at Sir Francis Drake Boulevard and Cordoni Avenue at 1:54 p.m. a driver was cited for driving without a license.

Theft: A bike was stolen from the Lanai Apartments.

Citizen Assist: A resident is having ongoing problems with juveniles trespassing on his property on Olema Road.

Noise: There was a live band at the Sleeping Lady that woke a resident up at 9:40 p.m.
