Fairfax Police: Tires flattened on Cascade Drive, public disturbances in downtown

Friday, Aug. 6

Stolen/Lost: Some items were stolen out of a woman's purse at Nave's earlier in the evening.

Suspicious Circumstances: A resident on Mountain View Road reported that someone snuck into their residence at 3:45 a.m. through an open window, but then left.

Town Code Violation: Two subjects spent the night in their car on Arroyo Road and then were cooking on a camping stove in the sidewalk at 9:41 a.m.

Vandalism: Two tires on a resident's car on Cascade Drive were flattened. There were screws in each tire.

Found: A passport was found in Bolinas Park.

Juveniles: There was a group of juveniles skateboarding behind the Women's Club at 7:49 p.m.

Suspicious Circumstances: A resident at the Creekside Apartments reported that subjects were outside her door threatening her at 11:12 p.m. Officers found the claims unfounded.

Thursday, Aug. 5

Disturbance: A subject was outside the Coffee Roastery swearing and yelling at customers inside at 9:09 a.m.

Theft of Services: Someone dumped a large number of boxes in the dumpster of the Post Office without authorization. The boxes caused a problem with the company that picks up the dumpster.

Garbage: A resident was using construction concrete and washing it down the gutters, where it was going into a storm drain on Forrest Avenue.

Unwanted Subject: A woman was going back and forth between the Sleeping Lady and Peri's at 6:43 p.m. She appeared extremely intoxicated and was causing problems.

Garbage: A resident continues to put unwanted items on the sidewalk and label them "free."

Disturbance: There was a verbal dispute between a resident and her sister on Porteous Avenue at 9:38 p.m.
