Fairfax: Storm Damage, Domestic Violence

Friday, Jan. 20

Suspicious Circumstances: A white van was driving back and forth on Casade Drive at 4:59 a.m. and doesn’t belong in the neighborhood. The windows were blacked out and the license plate was covered with a license plate protector. An officer determined the driver was waiting for his son to give him a ride to work.

Flooding: A drain was blocked at Pastori Avenue and Center Boulevard at 3:33 p.m.

Miscellaneous Service: A fence blew over on Center Boulevard at 6:20 p.m.

Hazard: There were rocks in the road on Bolinas Road between Deer Park Villa and where Bolinas straightens out.

Hazard: A St. Rita’s bus hit a low-hanging branch in front of the church and wanted to notify the Department of Public Works.

Storm-Related: A rain gutter was clogged at the Women’s Fitness Center.

Disturbance: There was a verbal dispute between a man and a woman at Nave’s at 9:36 p.m. Officers determined it was verbal only and a taxi was summoned to take them home.

Saturday, Jan. 21

Suspicious Vehicle: An officer initiated activity at the Parkade at 12:49 a.m.

Public Intoxication: An officer initiated activity on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 2:11 a.m. and an arrest was made.

Storm-Related: An officer checked a storm drain at Sir Francis Drake Boulevard and Mitchell Drive and on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard.

Trespassing: There was an intruder in a resident’s backyard on Claus Circle who said he was looking for someone who disrespected his father.

Found: A cell phone was found in the Peri Park bathroom.

Unwanted Subject: There was an unwanted subject at the Coffee Roastery at 4:21 p.m.

Noise: There was a number of men in a carport on Piper Court screaming at 8:52 p.m. It sounded like some sort of celebration.

Sunday, Jan. 22

Noise: People were laughing and breaking glass at the School Street Plaza at 3:09 a.m.

Trespassing: Someone came onto a property on Park Road and threw an egg at a window at 3:41 a.m.

Vandalism: A window facing the ballpark on School Street is broken and windows on the front of the premises had been vandalized.

Vandalism: A resident reported that a neighbor vandalized her car on Live Oak Avenue.

Theft: A resident was in the police department for the second time that evening reporting the theft of a backpack from inside 19 Broadway.

Hazard: There were sparks from a power line on Oak Road, possibly from branches.

Domestic Violence: There was a man pounding on the wall in an apartment complex and yelling profanities at the rear of the Vet hospital on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 9:02 p.m. The resident believes there may be domestic violence and reported this has been going on for a year and half.
