Fairfax Woman Arrested for Rash of Burglaries

San Anselmo police arrest suspect in a number of recent home thefts.

A Fairfax woman was arrested Sunday afternoon after a rash of recent thefts and linked to at least ten burglaries in San Anselmo and one in Fairfax.

According to San Anselmo police, officers responded to a report of an attempted burglary on Alderney Road at 3:30 p.m. A woman attempted to enter a residence by opening a downstairs window. The resident was in the home at the time and able to provide the police with a description.

San Anselmo police officers, reportedly, located and detained Christina Passmore, 39, of Fairfax, who matched the description. According to officers, Passmore was also identified in an in-field line-up by resident who reported the burglary attempt.

A search found Passmore to be in possession of property stolen from a car, said police.

Passmore was booked into the county jail on charges of burglary, attempted burglary, possession of stolen property, resisting arrest, and theft with prior convictions for theft-related offenses. She was held on $10,000 bail.

On Monday, Nov. 14, officers obtained a search warrant for Passmore's residence and located a number of stolen items in her Fairfax home.

Officers said they were able to link Passmore to ten recent burglaries in San Anselmo and one in Fairfax.
