Graffiti at White Hill School and a Child Wants to Meet a 'Real Live' Police Officer

The Fairfax Police blotter for March 13-19 includes vandalism at the Fairfax Coin Car Wash and a hot tub noise complaint.

 

 Tuesday, March 19 

Meet the citizen: 9:02 a.m. Fairfax Police Department, Bolinas Road. RP (reporting person) requests advice on the purchase and potential carrying of a pellet gun.

Suspicious person: 9:57 a.m. Coffee Roastery on Bolinas Road. Report of a man asking people for money and marijuana. Last seen hovering near a vehicle in the parkade. Disposition: subject was gone when officer arrived at the scene.

Theft: 3:46 p.m. Dominga Avenue. RP (reporting person) provided information that may have been unreported by the victim.

Monday, March 18 

Citizen assist: Frustuck Avenue. 10:35 a.m. Fairfax resident brought in ammunition for destruction.

Welfare check: 1:47 p.m. Bennet House on Taylor Drive. Welfare check for a subject who said he wanted to end his life.

Welfare check: 2:53 p.m. Charro Way. RP’s brother said he wants to kill himself. Subject just left, headed through the units in the complez.

Citizen assist: 8:12 p.m. Sequoia Road. RP has been receiving increasing harassment from her next door neighbor and would like to speak to an officer about it.

 

Sunday, March 17 

Vandalism: 7:50 a.m. White Hill School on Glen Drive. RP was on a walk when she noticed graffiti on the PE building between the parking lot and field. RP said it’s on several other rooms as well.

Meet the citizen: 3:40 p.m. Fairfax Police Department on Bolinas Road. Child would like to meet a real, live police officer.

Missing person: 4:47 pm. Iron Springs Pub & Brewery, Center Blvd. Report of a missing 2-year-old boy in the area of Iron Springs. The child was located shortly after.

 

Saturday, March 16 

Service: 11:59 a.m. Bolinas Road and Broadway. Walk in report of cyclists blocking the sidewalk and forcing pedestrians to walk in the street.

Suspicious circumstances: 2:18 p.m. Bolinas Road. Marin County Sheriff’s Office transferred a call from a woman who said she was being chased and had taken refuge under Town Hall. Officers contacted all involved parties.

Disturbance: 5:25 p.m. Broadway. Physical fight, with two subjects attacked a third. Started by 19 Broadway and moved behind the theater onto Pacheco and then onto east bound Center Blvd. RP is following along with them. Disposition: arrest made.

Public intoxication: 5:42 p.m. Ghiringhelli's Pizza on Broadway. RP reported a possibly unresponsive intoxicated person. Shortly after RP advised the subject was up and being care for and escorted out by his friends.

Citizen assist: 8:09 p.m. Iron Springs Pub and Brewery on Center Blvd. RP put his bike at the bike rack in front of the business and 5 p.m. and didn’t lock it. RP came out and found it locked with somebody else’s lock.

Public intoxication: 9:30 p.m. Rino Auto Repair on Sir Francis Drake Blvd. Anonymous walk-in reporting person said there is a man on the ground, but conscious. RP approached the man and spoke with him. Officers located the man and booked him into Marin County Jail.

Unwanted subject: 10:23 p.m. Ghiringhellis Pizza on Broadway. A group of people (three males and one female) refusing to leave after being asked. They are loud and rude, causing other customers to leave.

 

Friday, March 15

Stolen bike: 8:57 a.m. Rudy Contratti Field on Bank Street. RP reported his bicycle missing. It is a white 26” Redline Cyclocross style bicycle with red tape on the handlebars. It is similar to a road bike, but has “knobby tires.” RP would like a call if it is found or turned in.

Domestic violence: 6:50 p.m. Fairfax Market on Sir Francis Drake Blvd. Report of a male hitting a female in the parking lot of Fairfax Market. RP said the subjects appeared to be in their late teens.

 

Thursday, March 14

Public intoxication: 2:17 a.m. 19 Broadway. Officer-initiated activity. Arrest made.

Tree cut complaint: 5:35 p.m. Canyon Road. RP is concerned that a tree has just been take down without a permit. RP said no notices were observed. The tree is completely down and now the resident is continuing to cut it up.

Public intoxication: 10:41 p.m. Mono Avenue and Pacheco Avenue. A 20-year-old man was found slumped over a bicycle. RP approached him and found he was drunk. Subject was taken to the Helen Vine Detox center.

Cat on the loose: 10:56 p.m. Rino Auto Repair on Sir Francis Drake Blvd. RP’s cat jumped out of the RP’s car while stopped at the gas station. Cat is not familiar with the area. It’s a 3-year-old female (neutered), looks like a kitten and weighs 2 to 5 pounds. The basic color is white with dark brown and light brown patches. RP would like a call if the cat is found.

 

Wednesday, March 13

Noise complaint: 10:37 p.m. Cascade Drive. RP called in requesting a decibel reader of her neighbor’s hot tub. RP said the hot tub is usually turned on for one hour. RP was advised there are a few calls ahead of her and she understood.

Vandalism: 12:17 p.m. Fairfax Coin Car Wash on Sir Francis Drake Blvd. Vacuum cleaners at the wash were smashed with what appears to be a hammer.
