Homeless Making Presence Known in Police Logs

The following information from May 6-9 was supplied by the Novato Police Department. Arrests do not indicate a conviction.

The Headliner:

May 6 

12:08 a.m. – A man was booked for driving under the influence in the vicinity of Rowland Boulevard and Ramona Court.   He was also cited for making false representation to a police officer, and driving with a revoked or suspended license.  The driver’s vehicle was also impounded. 

8:23 a.m. – A 19-year-old man on Quince Court was booked on suspicion of  stalking and for violating a domestic violence related restraining order.  He reportedly had been texting and sending pictures to the juvenile victim.  He was also later cited for vandalism after damaging the victim’s door casing and wall. 

3:23 p.m. – A man in the 500 block of Village Circle reportedly locked a woman in a room and won’t let her out.  The woman was arrested and booked into Marin County Jail on suspicion of injuring a cohabitant. 

May 7 

9:46 a.m. – Graffiti vandalism was reported in the 300 block of Enfrente Road.  A fence and a building were tagged with possible hate crime related verbiage. The estimated damage is $200. 

4:46 p.m. – Three or four men were reported swearing, yelling and urinating in a homeless encampment under the Bell Marin Keys overpass.  The reporting party requested contact and said this is an ongoing problem.  All were gone on arrival.  The reporting party was asked to call back when they return. 

5:20 p.m. – Three men were reported to be sitting on a bench near the jungle gym at Pioneer Park drinking beer.  The men were contacted and advised that they are not allowed to consume alcohol in the area.  All alcohol was disposed of and the men were moved along. 

5:53 p.m. – A reporting party in the 1500 block of South Novato Boulevard reported that his father was drunk and on probation.  The man’s probation officer was contacted and she advised that the father be taken into custody.  The father was arrested and booked into Marin County Jail on suspicion of  being drunk in public and for violating probation. 

6:51 p.m. – A reporting party advised that there was a homeless encampment behind his home on Nave Court.  The people in the camp were said to have a mattress and they are very loud in the evenings.  Four people were contacted at the encampment and admonished about their loud noise. 

11:39 p.m. – A person was reported to be drunk in public in the 300 block of Enfrente Road. 

May 8 

8:45 a.m. – An assault and battery was reported at San Jose Middle School on Sunset Parkway.  The incident occurred yesterday when a student shoved a teacher.  The juvenile and a parent are due to come into the PD later today. 

10:24 a.m. – Shoplifting was reported at the Lucky store on Grant Avenue.  A 19-year-old man took over $9 worth of items.  The man was in custody and cooperative.  He said he was homeless.  The reporting party only wished to verify his identity.  Advice was provided. 

6:16 p.m. – A homeless man reportedly pulled a knife on another person that was walking by in the 300 block of Enfrente Road.  The reporting party said the blade was at least six inches long and possibly a switchblade.  He was getting on a southbound No. 71 bus.  The man was arrested for carrying a concealed weapon, violating probation, and being drunk in public. 

10:07 p.m. – A robbery was reported in the 400 block of Entrada Drive.  The reporting party said that someone was attacking her friend.  The incident was documented as an attempted robbery. 

May 9 

1:45 a.m. – A person was arrested and booked on suspicion of driving under the influence in the 300 block of San Marin Drive. 

8:46 a.m. – A sex crime was reported on Leafwood Drive.  The reporting party said that his brother molested his 8-year-old stepdaughter.  The incident occurred last night while the reporting party and his wife were working.  One was arrested for committing crimes against children and booked into the Marin County Jail. 

10:17 a.m. – Domestic violence was reported on Hathaway Drive.  The reporting party said that her husband had brandished a knife at her and also verbally and physically abused her.  The man was booked on suspicion of brandishing a weapon and making threats. 

11:20 a.m. – A fraud was reported on Poppy Place.  A victim said that unknown(s) made 12 unauthorized charges to the reporting party’s credit card. 

3:14 p.m. – A burglary was reported at the Costco store on Vintage Way.  The reporting party said that two women in their late 30s cut a camera out of it’s packaging and then concealed it.  Both were cited and released and the property was returned to Costco. 

4:38 p.m. – Vandalism was reported in the vicinity of Redwood Boulevard and Vallejo Avenue.  

5:51 p.m. – People in a homeless encampment in the vicinity of Bel Marin Keys Boulevard and Nave Drive were reported to be intoxicated and yelling.  Three people were contacted by officer(s) and were moved along.  No violations were observed. 

10:22 p.m. – Suspicious circumstances were reported in the vicinity of the Viking Lounge on Redwood Boulevard.  The reporting party who was driving by said that he saw two men rolling around on the ground and it looked like they were fighting.  Ther was also a group of men standing around watching.

What you wont read in these blogs are crimes police commit against the homeless. You can only find that story with a search for "New police weapon against homeless" and also "Historic coverup of FBI and police crimes currently taking place". Bill Anderson soxin8@hotmail.com
