Juveniles Pulled Over, Caught with Marijuana

The Fairfax Police blotter for Feb. 22-26 includes two DUI arrests.

 

Tuesday, Feb. 26 

Suspicious circumstances: 2:59 p.m. Redwood Road. Pry marks on RP’s (reporting person’s) front door. House was checked, no one inside.

Animal: 5:03 p.m. Sir Francis Drake Blvd. and Alhambra Circle. RP hit a deer with her vehicle. The deer is still alive and currently in the bushes. Humane was advised.

Juvenile problem: 6:10 p.m. Bank of America on Broadway. Juveniles shattered a bottle of glass in the parking lot.

Monday, Feb. 25 

DUI: 1:18 a.m. Officer initiated activity at Sir Francis Drake Blvd. and Pastori Avenue. Disposition: arrest made.

Unwanted subject: 11:05 p.m. Shady Brook Apartments on Merwin Avenue. RP said her ex husband is at the house and is refusing to leave. Phone line then went dead.

 

Sunday, Feb. 24

Vehicle accident: 7:43 p.m. Sorella Caffe on Bolinas Road. Non-injury vehicle accident.

 

Saturday, Feb. 23 

Service: 11:52 a.m. Downtown on Bolinas Road and Broadway. RP reported a number of cyclists running stop signs, blocking the sidewalks with their bikes and refusing to move them for pedestrians on the sidewalk. RP requested as much extra patrol as possible.

Juvenile problem: 1:21 p.m. St. Rita’s School on Marinda Drive. RP can see three juveniles skateboarding off the stairs and possibly attempting to gain entry into the building. Neither activity is sanctioned. The officer contacted the juveniles who were just skateboarding. They were advised of the complaint and abated.

Vehicle accident: 2:36 p.m. Fairfax Market on Sir Francis Drake Blvd. Vehicle vs. vehicle accident with no injuries and some vehicle damage. Black Mercedes vs. maroon vehicle.

Drug violation: 7:38 p.m. Kent Avenue and Sir Francis Drake Blvd. Officers made a traffic enforcement stop and found the juvenile driver and passengers to be in possession of marijuana. They were cited and released to their parents.

 

Friday, Feb. 22 

Suspicious circumstances: 6:26 p.m. Parkade on Sir Francis Drake Blvd. and Claus Drive. RP said a bicycle has been left in the Parkade, upside down, for several hours. RP thinks someone may have forgotten to put it on their bike rack when they drove off.

DUI: 9:12 p.m. Sir Francis Drake Blvd. and Taylor Drive. Disposition: arrest made.
