Glass bottle breaking: Meadowcroft Drive/Broadmoor Avenue. 2:43 a.m. Caller reported he heard glass break sound outside of his residence and two male subjects were seen walking outside. Officers responded and determined the sounds were from glass bottles being broken. No merit to any crime.
Juveniles on a roof: Ross Avenue. 8:10 p.m. Caller reported some juveniles were on the roof of a building. Officer responded and contacted three female juveniles who were stuck on the roof. They were assisted down and counseled for being on the property and were sent home.
Unwanted subject: Sir Francis Drake Blvd. 10:04 p.m. Caller said two female subjects refused to leave after the business’ closing time. Officers responded and contacted the subjects and abated them from the area.
Saturday, July 7
Vehicle complaint: Saunders Avenue. 1:39 a.m. Caller reported she heard a vehicle driving fast in the area and its tires were screeching. Officer checked the area and the vehicle was not located.
Found bicycles: Morningside Drive. 10:18 a.m. Caller reported two bicycles were abandoned fronting his residence. The bicycles were picked up and taken as found property. A report was taken.
Solicitor: Sir Francis Drake Blvd. 3:03 p.m. Caller reported subjects were outside the business panhandling. Caller advised the subject had a child with him. Officer responded and contacted the subject who was soliciting with a permit and the child was 19 years old.
Little black dog: Center Blvd. 8:01 p.m. Caller advised a small black dog was running in the area and she was unable to approach it. Humane was advised. Officer responded and the dog was not located.
Friday, July 6
Juvenile problem: Pine Street and San Anselmo Avenue. 1:36 p.m. Caller reported there was a summer camp with young children on the sidewalk and lawn, and some are allowed to sit on the curb. RP was concerned that the children would be hit by the fast moving vehicles in the area. Officers located the juveniles and determined there was not a dangerous situation. No action taken.
Vehicle collision: Sir Francis Drake Blvd. 1:54 p.m. Several callers reported a collision involving a vehicle and a cyclist. Officers and medical responded. The cyclist was transported to Marin General Hospital and a report was taken.
Laying on the ground: San Anselmo Avenue and Belle Avenue. 9:03 p.m. Caller reported a subject was lying on the ground in the area. Officer contacted the subject and determined he was fine. The subject was moved along.
Thursday, July 5
Barking dog: Brookmead Place. 12:10 a.m. Caller reported dogs that had been barking for over three hours. Officer responded and the responsible was advised of the complaint.
Man shouting: Center Blvd. and Madrone Avenue. 9:49 a.m. Caller reported a male subject was walking down the street shouting obscenities. Officers checked the area and the subject was not located and the area was quiet.
Dog found: Mariposa Avenue. 6 p.m. Caller advised she took custody of a lost older male yellow lab wandering in the street and she took it to the Humane Society in Novato.
Wednesday, July 4
Loud party: Oak Knoll Avenue. 3:12 a.m. Anonymous reporting person reported a loud party was in the area. Officers responded and contacted a responsible who was advised of the complaint and said they would shut it down.
Reckless driver: Sir Francis Drake Blvd. 12:05 p.m. Caller reported a reckless driver was in the area speeding and crossing over the double yellow. Officers checked the area and the vehicle was not located.
Alarm: Ross Avenue. 1:03 p.m. Caller reported she was walking in the area and there was an audible alarm going off. Officers checked the area and found the building was secure. The alarm was determined to be a fire alarm and fire responded. A neighbor was contacted and advised two teenage juveniles were seen running. Contact was made with the juveniles who were counseled and their parents were contacted.
Fireworks sounds: San Francisco Blvd. 5:56 p.m. Caller reported she heard fireworks going off in the area. Officers checked the area and no violations were found.
Fireworks sounds: Madrona Avenue. 6:43 p.m. Caller reported he heard fireworks in the area. Officers checked the area and no violations were found.
Fireworks sounds: Oakland Avenue. 7:58 p.m. Caller reported fireworks were heard in the area. Officers checked the area and no violations were found.
Fireworks sounds: San Anselmo Avenue. 9:14 p.m. Caller reported fireworks were heard in the area. Officers responded and contacted two subjects at the noted location who advised they did not use fireworks. No violations were found in the area.
Disturbing the peace: Melville Avenue. 9:36 p.m. Caller reported her neighbor was yelling obscenities at her and her juvenile daughter. Officers responded and contacted both parties and advice was provided.
Tuesday, July 3
Vehicle blocking driveways: Sycamore Avenue. 12:41 p.m. Caller reported a vehicle that was blocking driveways was still there and requested it be towed. Officer responded and had the vehicle towed from the scene.
Vehicle collision: San Anselmo Avenue. 1:21 p.m. Caller reported she had sideswiped a parked vehicle in the area and drove around the block to circle around. When she returned the vehicle was gone. Officer met with the RP and her information was obtained in the case the other party requested assistance with the collision.
Muni code violation: Fern Lane. 7:07 p.m. Caller reported subjects were using power saws after ordinance hours. Contact was made with the resident, who was doing the construction. He was advised of the complaint and agreed to shut it down for the night.
Injured deer: El Cerrito. 8:10 p.m. A resident advised she found an injured deer in her backyard. She was provided the phone number to the Humane Society.
Protective custody: Sir Francis Drake Blvd. 8:28 p.m. Caller reported a male subject was stumbling and talking to himself in a business. Officers located him and took him to a detox facility.
Noise complaint: Buena Vista Avenue. 10:25 p.m. Caller reported his neighbor keeps banging on the walls for an unknown reason. Contact made with both parties. The neighbor advised it was unintentional.
Monday, July 2
Physical fight: Park Way. 2:26 a.m. Multiple callers reported a physical fight on the street. Officers responded and contacted a group of subjects. Another male subject was located hiding on private property nearby. One man was arrested for trespassing and was medically cleared prior to booking at Marin Co. Jail
Found property: Tunstead Avenue. 3:41 p.m. Caller turned in cash. The cash was taken as found property and a report was taken.
Teenager driving dangerously: Sir Francis Drake Blvd./Broadmoor Avenue. 6:43 p.m. Caller reported a male teenager was driving dangerously down Sir Francis Drake Blvd. and reached speeds up to 50 MPH. Caller contacted the driver at the Hub and the driver rear ended the vehicle in front of him. Caller stated the subject was known in the neighborhood and drives like this constantly. Officer contacted the reporting person and provided advice; he declined officer contact with the juvenile at this time
Hit deer: Sir Francis Drake Bl/Saunders Avenue. 10 p.m. Anonymous caller reported a vehicle hit a deer and it was injured. Caller said it was seen running towards the apartment complex. Officer checked the area, but couldn't locate the deer.
Sunday, July 1
Suspicious circumstances: Floribel Avenue. 6:44 p.m. Caller reported his daughter somehow gained entry into the house and she took two sets of vehicle keys last Wednesday, but she didn't take any of the vehicles. Caller said she was not welcome at the residence because of her history of theft. Officer responded and made contact with the RP at the residence and advice was given.
Suspicious circumstances: San Anselmo Avenue. 8:40 p.m. Caller reported she believed the subject upstairs rewired the air conditioning to bother her. Officer responded and found no merit to the RP's claim. Officer advised the subject she suspected being responsible doesn’t live at the complex.
Assault with a deadly weapon: Ross Avenue and San Anselmo Avenue. 10:41 p.m. Caller was hit by a vehicle and the subject, who was known to him, drove away. Officers responded and located the reporting person; medical responded and he was transported to the hospital for further treatment. Officers located the suspect and he was arrested for felony hit-and-run and assault with a deadly weapon.
