Man Arrested For Allegedly Assaulting Mother

Joshua Doyle Weaver was booked at Marin County Jail on charges of assault with a deadly weapon.

A San Anselmo man was arrested at 11 p.m. Friday night on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, according to Detective Cpl. Julie Gorwood.

San Anselmo police responded to a call at 1586 Sir Francis Drake Blvd. Joshua Doyle Weaver, 37, is accused of pushing his mother down and kicking her in the leg. When his mother’s male friend attempted to come to her aide, Weaver hit him in the head with a frying pan, Gorwood said.

Weaver's mother was taken to Marin General Hospital, and her male friend refused medical attention.

Weaver, whose profession is listed as contractor, showed signs of intoxication and is currently on probation. He was booked in Marin County Jail on charges of assault with a deadly and violation of probation. His bail is set at $50,000.
