A San Anselmo man was arrested for assault and attempted murder this morning after stabbing his roommate during the night.
Seth Richman, 40, of San Anselmo, reportedly stabbed his roommate just after 3 a.m. Monday.
A 47-year-old San Anselmo man came into the San Anselmo Police Department at 3:50 a.m. and reported that he had been stabbed by his roommate. He had cuts on his hands and face, said police, and was treated at the scene before being transported to Marin General Hospital.

Police then located Richman, said Det. Cpl. Julie Gorwood, and took him into custody. He was arrested at 5:15 a.m. on Mariposa Avenue.
Gorwood said the incident stemmed from a fight between the two residents, but could not comment on what led to the stabbing as it is still under investigation.

Richman is being held on charges of assault with a deadly weapon and attempted murder. His bail is set at $500,000.
